Abstract

Meskipun literasi kesehatan mental mulai meningkat, terdapat kesenjangan gender dalam mengakses bantuan profesional, di mana lelaki cenderung tidak mencari bantuan meskipun memiliki indikator kesehatan mental yang buruk. Studi kuantitatif ini meneliti kontribusi paham maskulinitas tradisional terhadap sikap pencarian bantuan profesional lelaki Tionghoa Indonesia menggunakan analisis regresi hierarki. Data diperoleh dari 115 lelaki Tionghoa usia 18-25 tahun (Musia = 21.757; SD = 2.050) dengan Masculine Role Norms Inventory-Short Form (MRNI-SF) dan Attitudes toward Seeking Professional Psychological Help-Short Form (ATSPPH-SF). Hasil mengonfirmasi bahwa paham maskulinitas tradisional berpengaruh signifikan (11.4%) terhadap sikap pencarian bantuan profesional partisipan. Pendekatan inklusif terhadap budaya dan maskulinitas perlu diimplementasikan untuk mengurangi stigma terkait pencarian bantuan pemuda Tionghoa. / Despite the increasing mental health literacy, a gender gap in accessing professional assistance persists, with men often being reluctant to seek help despite displaying indicators of poor mental health. This quantitative study examines the contribution of traditional masculinity ideology to the attitudes professional help-seeking attitude among Chinese-Indonesian men using hierarchical regression analysis. The data were obtained from 115 Chinese-Indonesian men aged 18-25 years (M = 21.757; SD = 2.050) using the Masculine Role Norms Inventory-Short Form (MRNI-SF) and Attitudes toward Seeking Professional Psychological Help-Short Form (ATSPPH-SF). Results confirmed that traditional masculinity ideology significantly influences (11.4%) professional help-seeking attitude among Chinese-Indonesian young men. An inclusive approach to culture and masculinity should be socialized to reduce the stigma associated with professional help-seeking among Chinese-Indonesian youth.
