Abstract

Latar belakang: Asma merupakan penyakit kronik yang pengobatan hanya bertujuan untuk mencapai asma yang terkontrol. Namun, sulit untuk mencapai asma yang terkontrol karena adanya berbagai interaksi dari etiologi asma yang berbeda-beda dan komorbid pasien. Komorbid psikopatologi, sebagai komorbid yang paling sering ditemukan, menyebabkan dampak negatif yang signifikan terhadap kualitas hidup pasien asma. Studi-studi yang telah dilakukan melibatkan banyak variabel tetapi hanya satu studi yang secara spesifik meneliti hubungan depresi terhadap tingkat kontrol asma di Indonesia. Tujuan penelitian: Mengetahui adanya hubungan antara tingkat depresi berdasarkan skor PHQ-9 terhadap tingkat kontrol asma pada pasien dewasa di poliklinik paru RSUS Siloam Lippo Karawaci. Metodologi: Penelitian ini menggunakan metode studi potong lintang. Telah dilakukan wawancara menggunakan kuesioner PHQ-9 dan ACT terhadap total 82 subjek penelitian yang memenuhi kriteria penelitian. Data kemudian dianalisis dengan Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS) 26.0 menggunakan uji analisis Chi square. Hasil: Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, didapatkan nilai p = 0,031 dengan OR = 4,329 (95% CI: 1,679 - 11,163). Kesimpulan: Terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara tingkat depresi dan tingkat kontrol asma. Pasien asma dengan depresi memiliki peluang 4,329 kali untuk asmanya tidak terkontrol dibandingkan dengan pasien asma yang tidak memiliki depresi. Kata kunci: tingkat depresi, depresi, PHQ-9, asma, tingkat kontrol asma/ Background: Asthma is a chronic disease that the main treatment aims to control symptoms and reduce the risk of death. However, it is difficult to achieve controlled asthma due to the interactions between different asthma etiologies and patient comorbidities. Comorbid psychopathology, as the most common comorbidity, causes a significant negative impact on the quality of life of asthma patients. The studies that have been carried out involve many variables but only one study specifically examines the relationship between depression and the level of asthma control in Indonesia. Objectives: To determine the relationship between the level of depression based on the PHQ-9 score and the level of asthma control in adult patients at the pulmonary polyclinic of RSUS Siloam Lippo Karawaci. Method: This study uses a cross-sectional study method. Interviews using PHQ-9 and ACT questionnaires were carried out on a total of 82 research subjects who meet the research criteria. The data collected is then analyzed using the Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS) 26.0 with the Chi square analysis test. Results: Based on the research results, the value of p = 0.031 with OR = 4.329 (95% CI: 1.679 - 11.163) was obtained. Conclusion: There is a significant relationship between the level of depression and the level of asthma control. Asthma patients who have depression are 4.329 times more likely to have uncontrolled asthma than asthma patients who do not have depression.
