Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji pengaruh variabel keterlibatan ayah dan efikasi diri akademik pada remaja. Keadaan anak remaja merupakan proses menujunya seorang yang dewasa, secara bersamaan meliputi adanya proses pendidikan yang harus dijalani. Hal ini tidak lepas dari hal-hal akademis sehingga memerlukan adanya efikasi diri akademik untuk melaluinya. Adanya peran atau keterlibatan dari orang tua sangatlah penting untuk anak remaja menjalani kehidupan akademiknya di sekolah. Namun demikian, peran orang tua di Indonesia secara khusus ayah masih tergolong sangat minim sehingga Indonesia disebut sebagai salah satu fatherless country dengan anak-anak tanpa keterlibatan ayah terbanyak. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif non-eksperimental dengan menggunakan Skala Keterlibatan Ayah dan Skala Efikasi Diri Akademik. Subjek penelitian ini adalah remaja Sekolah Menengah Pertama (SMP) atau setara yang berusia 12-15 tahun. Sebanyak 218 subjek penelitian didapatkan dengan metode purposive sampling. Analisis data dilakukan dengan teknik regresi sederhana. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa keterlibatan ayah dapat memberikan pengaruh yang positif terhadap efikasi diri akademik pada remaja. Hal tersebut mengartikan bahwa smakin tinggi tingkat keterlibatan ayah, maka semakin tinggi pula tingkat efikasi diri akademik./This study aims to examine the influence of father involvement variables and academic self-efficacy in adolescents. The state of adolescence is a process of reaching an adult, simultaneously including the educational process that must be undertaken. This cannot be separated from academic matters so that it requires academic self-efficacy to get through it. The role or involvement of parents is very important for teenagers to live their academic life at school. However, the role of parents in Indonesia, especially fathers, is still relatively minimal so that Indonesia is referred to as one of the fatherless countries with children without the involvement of fathers. The research method used was non-experimental quantitative using the Father Involvement Scale and the Academic Self-Efficacy Scale. The subjects of this study were junior high school adolescents or equivalent aged 12-15 years. A total of 218 research subjects were obtained by purposive sampling method. Data analysis was carried out using simple regression techniques. The results showed that father involvement can have a positive influence on academic self-efficacy in adolescents. This means that the higher the level of father's involvement, the higher the level of academic self-efficacy.
