Abstract

Pemahaman konsep dalam belajar merupakan suatu kemampuan dasar yang harus dimiliki oleh siswa. Permasalahan pada pemahaman konsep terjadi karena siswa pasif, tidak kreatif, fokus pembelajaran menurun, dan guru hanya mengggunakan metode ceramah. Pemahaman konsep berasal dari pengetahuan manusia yang harus seturut dengan Allah sebagai pusat pengetahuan sehingga guru Kristen dituntut untuk mampu mengintregasikan iman dan pembelajaran. Metode Kooperatif dipilih guru sebagai solusi untuk meningkatan pemahaman konsep siswa kelas XII IPA. Pembelajaran kooperatif menekankan pada proses kerja sama dalam kelompok dengan pembagian kelompok heterogen. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengkaji metode pembelajaran kooperatif yang dapat meningkatkan pemahaman konsep siswa pada pembelajaran biologi. Metode yang digunakan dalam penilitian ini yaitu kualitatif deskriptif. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan metode pembelajaran kooperatif dapat meningkatkan pemahaman konsep siswa. Hal tersebut ditandai dengan terpenuhinya indikator dan menunjukaan adanya peningkatan dari hasil belajar siswa. Keberhasilan peningkatan pemahaman konsep siswa didukung dengan metode pembelajaran koopertif yang membantu siswa melalui diskusi kelompok, bertukar pikiran, meningkatnya keaktifan siswa, presentasi kelompok. Saran yang dapat untuk peneliti selanjutnya yaitu menggunakan variasi dalam metode pembelajaran kooperatif, serta menggunakan instrument evaluasi berupa rubrik/Understanding concepts in learning is a basic ability that must be possessed by students. Problems in understanding concepts occur because students are passive, not creative, learning focus decreases, and teachers only use the lecture method. Understanding the concept comes from human knowledge which must be in accordance with God as the center of knowledge so that Christian teachers are required to be able to integrate faith and learning. The Cooperative Method was chosen by the teacher as a solution to improve the understanding of the concepts of grade XII science students. Cooperative learning emphasizes the process of cooperation in groups with heterogeneous group divisions. The purpose of this study is to examine cooperative learning methods that can improve students' understanding of concepts in biology learning. The method used in this study is descriptive qualitative. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the application of cooperative learning methods can improve students' understanding of concepts. This is characterized by the fulfillment of indicators and shows an improvement in student learning outcomes. The success of increasing students' understanding of concepts is supported by cooperative learning methods that help students through group discussions, exchanging ideas, increasing student activity, group presentations. Suggestions that can be for future researchers are to use a variety of cooperative learning methods, using instruments in the form of rubrics for evaluation.
