Abstract

Banyak individu yang mempunyai cita-cita melanjutkan ke perguruan tinggi dan juga banyak yang ingin masuk ke perguruan tinggi ternama sehingga banyak individu yang masih di masa perkembangan berusaha untuk mencari struktur kehidupannya salah satunya adalah struktur kemandirian secara finansial, sehingga banyak mahasiswa yang melakukan kerja part time. Mahasiwa melakukan kerja part time agar bisa mengisi kekosongan kelas atau jeda antar kelas, namun hal tersebut juga bisa memicu prokrastinasi akademik dan stres akademik dikarenakan mahasiswa harus membagi waktu mereka agar bisa bekerja part time dan meneruskan kegiatan akademik di perguruan tinggi. Penelitian-penelitian terdahulu telah menemukan korelasi positif antara prokrastinasi akademik dan stres akademik Penelitian kuantitatif ini ingin melihat pengaruh prokrastinasi akademik terhadap stres akademik pada mahasiswa Universitas X yang bekerja part time. Penulis melakukan penelitian pada 104 mahasiswa yang didapat dengan Teknik purposive sampling. Adapun alat ukur yang digunakan dalam penulisan ini adalah Procrastination Academic Scale (PAS) dan Skala Stres Akademik. Penelitian ini menemukan adanya hubungan (r = 0.569, p<0.05) antara prokrastinasi akademik dan stres akademik. Uji regresi menunjukan bahwa terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan antara prokrastinasi akademik dan stres akademik (R2 = 0.469) sebesar 46.9%. / Many individuals who have dreams of continuing to college and also many who want to enter well-known universities so that many individuals who are still in the development period are trying to find their life structure, one of which is the structure of financial independence, so many students do part-time work. Students do part-time work to fill class gaps or breaks between classes, but it can also trigger academic procrastination and academic stress because students have to divide their time in order to work part-time and continue academic activities at university. Previous studies have found a positive correlation between academic procrastination and academic stress This quantitative study wanted to look at the effect of academic procrastination on academic stress in University X students who work part-time. The author conducted a study on 104 students obtained with purposive sampling techniques. The measuring tools used in this writing are the Procrastination Academic Scale (PAS) and the Academic Stress Scale. The study found an association (r = 0.569, p<0.05) between academic procrastination and academic stress. Regression tests showed that there was a significant effect between academic procrastination and academic stress (R2 = 0.469) of 46.9%.
