Abstract

Pentingnya keterlibatan perilaku siswa merupakan faktor mencapai keberhasilan belajar. Keterlibatan perilaku siswa merupakan respons terhadap mandat Allah dan sebagai bentuk tanggung jawab siswa terlibat dalam proses kehidupan termasuk dalam pembelajaran. Keterlibatan perilaku siswa merupakan peran aktif siswa dalam melakukan segala aktivitas pembelajaran yang ditandai dengan perilaku siswa. Namun faktanya, perilaku siswa cenderung pasif dan belum sepenuhnya terlibat dalam pembelajaran. Guru Kristen sebagai penuntun bertanggung jawab membawa siswa kepada tujuan pendidikan Kristen dengan menerapkan metode pembelajaran yang sesuai dengan kebutuhan siswa. Hal terpenting yang harus dimiliki guru Kristen adalah memiliki hati yang mau melayani sebagai respons akan panggilan hidupnya dalam membawa siswa kepada pengenalan akan Allah. TPS memiliki pola interaksi yang sudah ditentukan dari tahapannya yaitu think, pair, and share sehingga melalui tahapan TPS tersebut mampu menstimulus keterlibatan perilaku siswa. Melalui TPS, siswa diberikan ruang untuk bekerja sendiri, bekerja sama, serta mempresentasikannya. Tahapan dalam TPS mendorong perilaku siswa terlibat karena siswa diharuskan mengikuti prosedur yang sudah ditentukan guru. Tujuan penulisan paper ini adalah untuk menjelaskan penerapan metode pembelajaran Think pair share (TPS) dalam menstimulus keterlibatan perilaku siswa pada pembelajaran bahasa Indonesia di kelas X. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil penerapan TPS menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan metode pembelajaran Think pair share (TPS) mampu menstimulus keterlibatan perilaku siswa. Bagi peneliti selanjutnya disarankan untuk meneliti ketiga aspek keterlibatan siswa dengan metode pembelajaran yang berbeda dengan penulis. / The importance of student behavioral engagement is a factor in achieving learning success. The importance of student behavioral engagement is a factor in achieving Student behavioral involvement is a response to God's mandate and a form of responsibility for students to be involved in the life process, including learning. Student behavioral involvement is the active role of students in carrying out all learning activities, which are characterized by student behavior. However, in fact, student behavior tends to be passive and not fully involved in learning. Christian teachers, as guides, are responsible for bringing students to the goals of Christian education by implementing learning methods that suit students' needs. The most important thing that a Christian teacher must have is a heart that is willing to serve in response to his life's calling to bring students to the knowledge of God. TPS has an interaction pattern that has been determined from its stages, namely think, pair, and share, so that through these TPS stages it is able to stimulate student behavioral involvement. Through TPS, students are given space to work alone, collaborate, and present. The stages in TPS encourage involved student behavior because students are required to follow procedures determined by the teacher. The purpose of writing this paper is to explain the application of the Think pair share (TPS) learning method to stimulating student behavioral engagement in Indonesian language learning in class X. This research uses a qualitative descriptive method. The results of implementing TPS show that the use of the Think pair share (TPS) learning method is able to stimulate student behavioral engagement. It is recommended for future researchers to examine the three aspects of student involvement with different learning methods described by the author.
