Abstract

Latar Belakang. Keluhan yang sering terjadi pada wanita muda dan wanita yang masih dalam usia reproduksi adalah sakit pada bagian perut. Dismenore primer dapat diartikan sebagai nyeri atau sakit perut bagian bawah yang muncul selama siklus menstruasi, dan sakit tersebut tidak ada hubungannya dengan penyakit lain. Prevalensi dari penyakit dismenore sangat bervariasi mulai dari 16% hingga 91% pada wanita usia reproduksi. Banyak sekali upaya yang dapat dilakukan untuk mengatasi dismenore. Dalam pengobatan non-farmakologis, dapat dilakukan pemberian cokelat hitam. Cokelat memiliki banyak sekali flavonoid yang dapat mendukung produksi dari oksida nitrat pada endotelium. Oksida nitrat dapat membantu merelaksasikan pembuluh darah serta meningkatkan aliran darah sehingga membantu menurunkan tekanan darah. Cokelat dapat berinteraksi dengan beberapa sistem neurotransmiter seperti dopamin, serotonin, dan endorfin. Endorfin dapat membantu menghilangkan rasa nyeri serta mengurangi stres. Tujuan Penelitian. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui hubungan konsumsi cokelat hitam terhadap derajat dismenore primer pada wanita muda (15–24 tahun). Hipotesis. Hipotesis yang diharapkan pada penelitian ini adalah terdapat hubungan antara konsumsi cokelat hitam, usia, kadar gula dalam cokelat hitam yang dikonsumsi, indeks massa tubuh, dan tingkat pendidikan terhadap derajat dismenore primer pada wanita muda (15–24 tahun). Metode Penelitian. Pada penelitian ini metode yang digunakan adalah dengan bertemu langsung dengan responden dan memberikan kuesioner online melalui google form kepada wanita muda yang berusia 15–24 tahun yang pernah mengalami dismenore, memenuhi kriteria, serta bersedia menjadi responden dengan estimasi 100 target populasi. Pada prosesanalisis data, akan menggunakan uji statistik dengan uji Chi Square dengan menggunakan program SPSS versi 26.0. Hasil Penelitian. Pada penelitian ini didapatkan hasil yang signifikan antara konsumsi cokelat hitam (level 2 – tidak konsumsi) terhadap derajat dismenore primer pada wanita muda (15 – 24 tahun) dengan nilai p = 0.035 dengan OR = 0.202, konsumsi cokelat hitam (level 3 – tidak konsumsi) terhadap derajat dismenore primer pada wanita muda (15 – 24 tahun) dengan nilai p = 0.006 dengan hasil OR = 0.118, konsumsi cokelat hitam (level 4 – tidak konsumsi) terhadap derajat dismenore primer pada wanita muda (15 – 24 tahun) dengan nilai p = 0.001 dengan OR = 0.088, dan usia terhadap derajat dismenore primer pada wanita muda (15 – 24 tahun) dengan nilai p = 0.015 dengan OR = 0.296. Konklusi. Konsumsi cokelat hitam dapat menurunkan derajat dismenore primer pada wanita muda (15–24 tahun). Semakin tinggi level cokelat hitam yang dikonsumsi maka semakin rendah derajat dismenore yang dialami oleh responden. Usia dapat menurunkan derajat dismenore primer pada wanita muda (15–24 tahun). Semakin tinggi usia maka semakin rendah derajat dismenore yang dialami responden. / Background. A complaint that often occurs in young women and women who are still in their reproductive age is pain in the abdomen. Primary dysmenorrhea can be interpreted as a sore or lower abdominal pain that appears during the menstrualcycle, and the pain has nothing to do with other diseases. The prevalence of dysmenorrhea varies greatly from 16% to 91% in women of reproductive age. There is a lot of solution that can be done to overcome dysmenorrhea. In non- pharmacological treatment, consumption of dark chocolate could be used as a treatment. Chocolate has a lot of flavonoids which can support the production of nitric oxide in the endothelium. Nitric oxide can help relax blood vessels and increase blood flow, thereby helping to lower blood pressure. Chocolate could interact with several neurotransmitter systems such as dopamine, serotonin, and endorphins. Endorphins can help relieve pain and reduce stress. Research Objective. This study was conducted to determine the effect of consumingdark chocolate on the level of primary dysmenorrhea in young women (15-24 years). Hypothesis. The hypothesis expected in this study is that there is a relationship between dark chocolate consumption, age, sugar content in the dark chocolate consumed, body mass index, and education level on the degree of primary dysmenorrhea in young women (15-24 years). Research Method. In this study the method used was to meet directly with the repondents and give the online questionnaires via the Google form to young women aged 15–24 years who had experienced dysmenorrhea, met the criteria, and were willing to be respondents with an estimated 100 target population. In the data analysis process, statistical tests will be used with the Chi Square test using the SPSS version 26.0 program. Research result. In this study, significant results were obtained between dark chocolate consumption (level 2 – no consumption) on the degree of primary dysmenorrhea in young women (15 – 24 years) with a value of p = 0.035 and with a result of OR = 0.202, dark chocolate consumption (level 3 – no consumption ) on the degree of primary dysmenorrhea in young women (15 – 24 years) with a value of p = 0.006 and with a result of OR = 0.118, dark chocolate consumption (level 4 – no consumption) on the degree of primary dysmenorrhea in young women (15 – 24 years) with a value p = 0.001 and with a result of OR = 0.088, and age on the degree of primary dysmenorrhea in young women (15 – 24 years) with a value of p = 0.015 with OR = 0.296. Conclusion. Consuming dark chocolate can reduce the degree of primary dysmenorrhea in young women (15 – 24 years). The higher the level of dark chocolate consumed, the lower the degree of dysmenorrhea experienced by the respondent. Age can reduce the degree of primary dysmenorrhea in young women (15 – 24 years). The higher the age, the lower the degree of dysmenorrhea experienced by the respondent.
