Abstract

Pada konteks Indonesia, individu yang telah menikah seringkali menghadapi konflik bersama pasangan terkait rahasia yang dipendam. Penelitian ini mencoba mengidentifikasi sejauh mana kecenderungan menyimpan rahasia dapat mempengaruhi kepuasan pernikahan, serta peran autentisitas relasi dalam mengurai kompleksitas interaksi tersebut. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi hubungan antara kecenderungan menyimpan rahasia dan kepuasan pernikahan, dengan autentisitas relasi berperan sebagai mediator. Metode penelitian yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah metode kuantitatif cross-sectional dengan menggunakan The Five-Item Preoccupation Scale, Authenticity in Relationships Scale, dan Relationship Assessment Scale. Subjek penelitian ini adalah 2,184 individu yang telah menikah. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa autentisitas relasi memediasi parsial hubungan antara kecenderungan menyimpan rahasia terhadap kepuasan pernikahan di Indonesia. Implementasi studinya dapat melibatkan upaya untuk meningkatkan kesadaran dan keterampilan komunikasi dalam hubungan pernikahan, dengan fokus pada mengurangi kecenderungan menyimpan rahasia. Selain itu, memperkuat autentisitas relasi melalui kegiatan atau intervensi yang membangun kepercayaan dan keterbukaan di antara pasangan juga dapat menjadi bagian dari implementasi untuk meningkatkan kepuasan pernikahan di Indonesia. / In the context of Indonesia, married individuals often encounter conflicts with their partners related to concealed secrets. This study aims to identify the extent to which the tendency to keep secrets influences marital satisfaction, with the role of relationship authenticity in unraveling the complexity of these interactions. Utilizing a quantitative cross-sectional approach, the research employs The Five-Item Preoccupation Scale, Authenticity in Relationships Scale, and Relationship Assessment Scale. The study involves 2,184 married individuals as subjects. Findings indicate that relationship authenticity partially mediates the connection between the tendency to keep secrets and marital satisfaction in Indonesia. The implementation of the study involves efforts to enhance awareness and communication skills within marital relationships, with a specific focus on reducing the tendency to keep secrets. Additionally, strengthening relationship authenticity through activities or interventions fostering trust and openness between partners becomes an integral part of the implementation to enhance marital satisfaction in Indonesia.
