Abstract

Tingginya angka perceraian di Indonesia disebabkan oleh adanya perselisihan yang terjadi secara terus menerus dengan pasangan. Terutama pada Provinsi Jawa Barat, kasus perceraian mencapai 113.643 kasus dan menempati posisi teratas dengan kasus perceraian tertinggi di Indonesia. Perselisihan atau konflik pasti terjadi dalam rumah tangga, apalagi bagi pasangan menikah beda suku yang memiliki banyak perbedaan latar belakang. Perselisihan atau konflik yang terjadi dalam rumah tangga dapat membuat terjadinya penurunan pada marital satisfaction. Saat marital satisfaction rendah maka sangat rawan membuat terjadinya perceraian dalam rumah tangga, sehingga perselisihan atau konflik harus diselesaikan. Cara penyelesaian perselisihan atau konflik salah satunya adalah dengan membangun self-disclosure dalam pola komunikasi suami istri. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk melihat pengaruhnya self-disclosure terhadap marital satisfaction pada pasangan menikah beda suku di Jawa Barat. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain kuantitatif dan analisis regresi linear sederhana sebagai metode pengolahan data. Data diperoleh dari 133 responden, dengan menggunakan alat ukur ENRICH Marital Satisfaction Scale dan Revised Self-disclosure Scale. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa self-disclosure dapat memprediksi marital satisfaction pada pasangan menikah beda suku di Jawa Barat. / Ongoing disputes between partners cause the high divorce rate in Indonesia. Especially in West Java Province, divorce cases reached 113,643 cases and occupied the top position with the highest divorce cases in Indonesia. Disputes or conflicts are bound to occur in the household, especially for married couples of different ethnicities who have many different backgrounds. Disputes or conflicts that occur in the household can cause a decrease in marital satisfaction. When marital satisfaction is low, divorce will likely occur in the household, so disputes or conflicts must be resolved. One effective way to resolve conflicts between spouses is by utilizing self-disclosure techniques in their communication patterns. This research aims to see the effect of self-disclosure on marital satisfaction in interethnic married couples in West Java. This research uses a quantitative design and simple linear regression analysis to process data. Data was obtained from 133 respondents, using the ENRICH Marital Satisfaction Scale and the Revised Self-disclosure Scale. The results show that self-disclosure can predict marital satisfaction in interethnic married couples in West Java.
