Abstract

Pendidikan sebagai wadah dalam mengembangkan kemampuan yang dimiliki siswa melalui pembelajaran. Siswa merupakan ciptaan yang serupa dan segambar dengan Allah yang memiliki keunikan dalam dirinya masing-masing. Oleh karena itu, di dalam kelas penting adanya pelaksanaan pembelajaran yang berkualitas guna mencapai proses belajar yang efektif. Maka, guru harus memperhatikan perencanaan kelas sesuai dengan materi yang akan dijelaskan. Tujuannya untuk mendorong siswa untuk berpartisipasi aktif karena salah satu kunci keberhasilan kelas terlihat dari partisipasi siswa dalam proses pembelajaran. Namun, faktanya kondisi kelas yang ditemukan terlihat bahwa siswa cenderung hanya mendengarkan penyampaian guru saja dan siswa kurang terlibat dalam pembelajaran. Oleh sebab itu, guru menerapkan model pembelajaran kooperatif think pair share guna menumbuhkan keaktifan siswa. Tujuan dari penulisan ini adalah untuk memaparkan penerapan pembelajaran kooperatif think pair share pada kelas VII SMP. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif. Data yang diperoleh terlihat dari umpan balik mentor, lembar hasil observasi dan jurnal refleksi. Kesimpulannnya adalah model pembelajaran TPS mampu menumbuhkan keaktifan siswa dengan melibatkan mereka dalam pembelajaran. Saran bagi guru Kristen ialah untuk memperhatikan penggunaan waktu dalam penerapan TPS ini dengan pertanyaan-pertanyan diskusi yang lebih optimal / Education as a forum for developing students' abilities through learning. Students are creations that are similar and in the image of God, each of whom is unique in himself. Therefore, in the classroom it is important to implement quality learning in order to achieve an effective learning process. So, teachers must pay attention to class planning according to the material to be explained. The aim is to encourage students to participate actively because one of the keys to class success can be seen from student participation in the learning process. However, in fact the classroom conditions found showed that students tended to only listen to the teacher's delivery and students were less involved in learning. Therefore, teachers apply the Think Pair Share cooperative learning model to foster student activity. The purpose of this writing is to explain the application of Think Pair Share cooperative learning in class VII SMP. The research method used is descriptive qualitative. The data obtained can be seen from mentor feedback, observation results sheets and reflection journals. The conclusion is that the TPS learning model is able to foster student activity by involving them in learning. The suggestion for Christian teachers is to pay attention to the use of time in implementing TPS with more optimal discussion questions.
