Abstract

HUBUNGAN ANTARA TINGKAT KETERGANTUNGAN NIKOTIN PADA ROKOK DENGAN GANGGUAN KECEMASAN PADA USIA 18 – 24 TAHUN Latar belakang: Nikotin yang terkandung di dalam rokok dapat menyebabkan seseorang ketergantungan. Beberapa penelitian menunjukkan adanya hubungan antara ketergantungan nikotin pada rokok sebagai penyebab dari gangguan kecemasan. Gangguan kecemasan ditandai dengan perasaan khawatir, cemas atau takut yang berlebihan. Tetapi masih ada hasil yang tidak konsisten dari penelitian sebelumnya. Tujuan penelitian: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menemukan hubungan antara ketergantungan nikotin pada rokok dengan gangguan kecemasan pada usia 18 – 24 tahun. Metode Penelitian: Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian dengan jenis studi analitik komparatif kategorik tidak berpasangan dengan desain penelitian cross-sectional. Sebanyak 91 perokok dipilih dengan non-probability purposive sampling. Data diperoleh dari pengerjaan kuesioner Fagerstrom Test for Nicotine Dependence (FTND) dan Generalized Anxiety Disorder-7 (GAD-7). Hasil penelitian diolah menggunakan software SPSS yang kemudian dianalisis menggunakan metode chi-square. Hasil: Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara tingkat ketergantungan nikotin pada rokok dengan gangguan kecemasan. Hasil penelitian didapat dengan hasil uji chi-square dengan nilai p= 0.00 yang berarti p<α =0.05. Nilai Odds Ratio yang didapat sebesar 17,34 (95% CI = 3,78 – 79,44) yang berarti tingginya tingkat ketergantungan nikotin pada rokok merupakan faktor resiko dari gangguan kecemasan. Kesimpulan: Terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara tingkat ketergantungan nikotin pada rokok dengan gangguan kecemasan pada rentang usia 18 – 24 tahun. Kata Kunci: Nikotin, rokok, gangguan kecemasan / RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN THE DEPENDENCE OF NICOTINE IN CIGARETTE AND ANXIETY DISORDERS AT THE AGE OF 18 – 24 YEARS OLD Background: The nicotine contained in cigarettes can lead to dependence. Several studies have shown a relationship between nicotine dependence on cigarettes as a cause of anxiety disorders. Anxiety disorders are characterized by excessive feelings of worry, anxiety and fear. However, there are still inconsistent results from previous studies. Objective : This study aims to find the relationship between nicotine dependence in cigarettes and anxiety disorders at the age of 18 – 24 years old. Methods : This research is an unpaired categorical comparative analytical study with a cross- sectional observation study design. Total of 91 smokers were selected by non-probability sampling. The data were obtained from the Fagerstrom Test for Nicotine Dependence (FTND) and Generalized Anxiety Disorder-7 (GAD-7). The result of this research then processed using SPSS were then analysed using the chi-square method. Results: This study showed that there is a significant relationship between nicotine dependence in cigarettes and anxiety disorders. The results of the study were obtained by the results of the chi- square test with a value of p= 0.00 which means p <α = 0.05. Odds Ratio value of 17,34 (95% CI = 3,78 – 79,44) was obtained which means high nicotine dependence in cigarettes is a risk factor of anxiety disorders. Conclusions: There is a significant relationship between nicotine dependence in cigarettes and anxiety disorders at the age of 18 – 24 years old. Keyword : Nicotine, cigarette, anxiety disorders
