Abstract

Sektor Pariwisata memiliki peranan penting dalam mendorong perekonomian suatu negara, khususunya negara berkembang. Dampak dari sektor pariwisata biasanya terbagi menjadi dua tingkat, yaitu tingkat nasional atau makro dan sub-nasional atau mikro. Pariwisata dapat berkontribusi pada perekonomian negara melalui sumber devisa dan dapat berkontribusi pada meningkatnya kesejahteraan masyarakat. Dalam meningkatkan sektor pariwisata, suatu negara memerlukan strategi, salah satunya menjalin kerja sama dengan perusahaan multinasional. Traveloka merupakan perusahaan multinasional Indonesia yang pertama kali melakukan ekspansi usaha di kawasan Asia Tenggara. Hadirnya Traveloka tidak hanya menjadi penyedia informasi dan layanan pemesanan rencana perjalanan, namun Traveloka juga memberikan kontribusi langsung terhadap pembangunan sektor pariwisata dan perekonomian negara melalui berbagai strategi yang dijalankan. Oleh karena itu, penulisan ini bertujuan untuk melihat dan menganalisis strategi dan langkah-langkah yang digunakan oleh Traveloka dalam berkontribusi untuk membangun sektor pariwisata di Malaysia, Singapura, dan Thailand. Penulisan ini menggunakan pendekatan Neoliberalisme dengan didukung konsep Perusahaan Multinasional, Strategi Pemasaran Global, Marketing Mix, dan Efek Berganda. Penulisan ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dan metode deskriptif sebagai metode utama serta metode komparatif sebagai metode pendukung. Data yang digunakan pada penulisan ini adalah data sekunder yang kemudian dianalisis dengan teknik ilustratif. Hasilnya, strategi pemasaran global yang digunakan Traveloka, khususnya menerapkan setiap elemen dari marketing mix dapat membawa Traveloka berhasil memasuki pasar internasional. Selain itu, kemitraan yang dijalankan oleh Traveloka baik dengan mitra lokal dan pemerintah setempat memberikan dampak positif terhadap pembangunan sektor pariwisata dan perekonomian suatu negara, terutama dalam mewujudkan strategi nasional dalam meningkatkan jumlah wisatawan dan pendapatan./ The tourism sector plays a pivotal role in bolstering the economies of countries, particularly in developing countries. Its impact is usually divided into two levels, national and sub-national level. Tourism sector has the potential to serve as a significant source of foreign exchange and contribute to community welfare. In improving the tourism sector, a country requires strategies, collaboration with multinational companies stands out as a key strategy. Traveloka is the first Indonesian multinational company to expand its business in the Southeast Asia region. Beyond merely providing travel information and booking services, Traveloka actively contributes to the development of the tourism sector and economy through various strategies implemented. Therefore, this research aims to examine and analyze the strategies used by Traveloka to contribute to development of tourism sector in Malaysia, Singapore, and Thailand. This research uses Neoliberalism approach supported by Multinational Companies, Global Marketing Strategy, Marketing Mix, and Multiplier Effects concepts. This research also uses qualitative approach and descriptive method as the main method and comparative method as a supporting method. This research relies on secondary data analyzed through an illustrative method. As a result, the global marketing strategy used by Traveloka, especially implementing each element of marketing mix, can successfully lead Traveloka to enter the international market. Additionally, the partnerships carried out by Traveloka with local partners and local government have positive impact on the development of the tourism sector and the economy of a country, especially in realizing the national strategy to increase the number of tourists and income.
