Abstract

This study is aimed at investigating the determinants that can influence purchase intention for imported products, especially Apple products. This study was carried out in Indonesia, with the target population including all Apple users. Through sampling, 280 respondents participated. Empirical data was collected through distributing questionnaires using Google Form and analyzed using the PLS-SEM approach. The results of the study successfully confirmed that consumer purchase intention towards imported technology products, one of which is Apple, can be significantly influenced by country image and product image. The study results show that the level of ethnocentrism in consumers is not the main factor that can influence purchasing interest in imported products. The research results also demonstrate that a high level of ethnocentrism leads to better perceptions of the country's image and the image of imported products. This research is able to provide theoretical contributions to international business literature and practically for companies.
