Abstract

Mie Kam Pak merupakan sebuah rumah makan bakmi rumahan di Medan yang sudah berdiri sejak tahun 1970. Namun dimasa ini semakin banyak usaha bakmi yang berinovasi. Sehingga menyebabkan Mie Kam Pak sulit bersaing dengan identitas visual yang seadanya. Dari hasil observasi dan analisis visual, identitas visual Mie Kam Pak kurang menyampaikan pesan dan nilai dari brand. Perancangan ulang dilakukan dengan harapan dapat memberi solusi dari permasalahan identitas visual dan menciptakan identitas visual yang dapat mencerminkan citra dari brand Mie Kam Pak. Perancangan ulang ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan tahapan dari metode perancangan identitas visual oleh Alina Wheeler. Proses perancangan dimulai dengan mengumpulkan data melalui studi pustaka, observasi, dan wawancara dari pemilik rumah makan Mie Kam Pak. Dari data tersebut akan diolah dan diidentifikasi permasalahan visualnya sehingga dapat diproses dan dilakukan perancangan ulang. / Mie Kam Pak is a home-cooked noodle restaurant in Medan that has been established since 1970. However, nowadays more and more noodle businesses are innovating. This makes Mie Kam Pak difficult to compete with an unprentious visual identity. From the results of visual observation and analysis, Mie Kam Pak's visual identity does not convey the message and the value of the brand. The redesign was carried out in the hope of providing a solution to the problem of visual identity and creating a visual identity that could reflect the image of the Mie Kam Pak brand. This redesign was carried out using the stages of the visual identity design method by Alina Wheeler. The design process begins with collecting data through literature study, observation, and interviews from the owner of Mie Kam Pak restaurant. From the data, it will be processed and identified visual problems so that it can be processed and redesigned.
