Abstract

Kurikulum Merdeka secara masif mulai diterapkan di Indonesia, namun masalah dalam penerapannya terus terjadi. Masalah bagi siswa adalah rendahnya pemahaman konsep matematika yang mana tidak memenuhi indikator-indikator pemahaman konsep matematika. Hal ini diakibatkan oleh lemahnya kemampuan guru menciptakan pembelajaran yang memerdekakan dan berorientasi pada siswa sedangkan kecenderungan guru menerapkan pembelajaran konvensional, misalnya metode ceramah. Perlu adanya tranformasi pembelajaran konvensional yakni penerapan suatu pendekatan pembelajaran yang sejalan dengan Kurikulum Merdeka sehingga mampu mengatasi masalah pemahaman konsep matematika siswa. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini bertujuan mengkaji mengenai penerapan Differentiated Instruction berbasis Kurikulum Merdeka untuk mendorong pemahaman konsep matematika. Metode penelitian yang dipakai adalah metode kualitatif deskriptif. Pembelajaran harus disesuaikan dengan prinsip kemerdekaan belajar yakni menurut minat, bakat, dan karakter siswa. Tetapi bukan hanya itu, pembelajaran diharapkan memberkati siswa sebagai gambar dan rupa Allah. Hasil penelitian yang dilaksanakan menunjukkan implementasi Differentiated Instruction berbasis Kurikulum Merdeka mampu mendorong pemahaman konsep matematika siswa yang telah diukur berdasarkan berbagai indikator pemahaman konsep matematika yang meningkat sebesar 78%. Selain itu, implementasi Differentiated Instruction pada penelitian ini menolong siswa berkebutuhan khusus mendapatkan pembelajaran yang sesuai dengan keterbatasan dan kebutuhan yang dimiliki olehnya. Saran yang ditawarkan adalah guru perlu memanajemen waktu pembelajaran dengan baik dan waktu penelitian yang lebih lama. / The Merdeka Curriculum has been massively implemented in Indonesia, but problems in its implementation continue to occur. The problem for students is decreasing mathematical understanding concepts, which does not meet the indicators of mathematical understanding concepts. This is due to teachers' weak ability to create liberating and student-oriented learning, as well as the tendency to apply conventional learning. It is necessary to transform conventional learning, through the implementation of learning approaches which are in accordance with the Merdeka Curriculum to overcome the problem of students' mathematical understanding concepts. Therefore, this study aims to examine the application of Differentiated Instruction based on the Merdeka Curriculum to encourage mathematical understanding concepts. The research method used is descriptive qualitative method. Learning must be adjusted to the principle of learning independence according to students' interests, talents, and characters. Beyond that, learning is expected to bless students as the image of God. The research result is implementation of Differentiated Instruction based on the Merdeka Curriculum can encourage students' mathematical understanding concepts that have been measured by indicators of mathematical understanding concepts which has increased by 78%. In addition, it helps students with special needs to learn according to their special needs. Suggestions offered are teachers need to manage learning time well and longer research time.
