Abstract

Latar Belakang : Pemasangan endotracheal tube (ETT) dapat menyebabkan morbiditas dan mortalitas pada pasien. Komplikasi pada pemasangan endotracheal tube (ETT) dapat membahayakan keselamatan paien karena mampumenimbulkan trauma pada trakea dan dapat menyebabkan aspirasi cairan lambung, bila tekanan yang diberikan tidak tepat. Banyak tenaga kesehatan yang masih mengalami kekeliruan dalam mengelola teknik jalan napas saat mengembangkan balon endotracheal tube (ETT). Tekanan ini akan dipengaruhi oleh volume udara yang dimasukan melalui spuit sehingga volume yang dimasukan kedalam balon endotracheal tube (ETT) harus tepat yaitu dengan konsep banyak volume rendah tekanan (high volume low pressure). Tujuan Penelitian : Untuk Mengetahui berapakah volume balon endotracheal tube (ETT) yang ideal dengan tekanan yang masih aman digunakan pada dindingtrakea orang dewasa. Metode : Penelitian ini menggunakan desain studi penelitian eksperimental yang akan dilakukan dengan menggunakan volume udara yang memenuhi kriteria inklusi dari penelitian ini. Pengambilan data tekanan balon endotracheal tube (ETT) menggunakan tire pressure gauge (alat pengukur tekanan ban) yang akan di konversikan ke dalam satuan cmH2O sebagai standar internasional pengukuran tekanan balon endotracheal tube (ETT). Hasil : Dari 4 kelompok penelitian sampel, mendapatkan 24 sampel yang telahdiuji dan dianalisa dengan aplikasi Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS) versi 24.0. Penelitian ini mendapatkam p-value sebesar 0,001 dan mendapatkan hasil koefisien R sebesar 97,9%. Kesimpulan : Penelitian ini menunjukan hasil korelasi yang sangat kuat antara volume dan tekanan balon Endotracheal Tube (ETT). Kata kunci : Endotracheal Tube (ETT), Ruptur Trakea, Komplikasi Endotracheal tube (ETT)./Background: Insertion of an endotracheal tube (ETT) can cause morbidity and mortality in patients. Complications in inserting an endotracheal tube (ETT) can endanger patient safety because it can cause trauma to the trachea and can cause aspiration of gastric juices, if the pressure applied is not correct. Many health workers still experience confusion in managing airway technique when inflating an endotracheal tube (ETT) balloon. This pressure will be affected by the volume of air introduced through the syringe so that thevolume inserted into the endotracheal tube (ETT) balloon must be precise, namely with the concept of many volumes under low pressure (high volume low pressure). Objective: To determine what is the ideal cuff volume on an endotracheal tube(ETT) whose pressure is still safe to use on the tracheal wall of adults. Methods: This study uses an experimental research study design that will becarried out using air volumes that meet the inclusion criteria of this study. Retrieval of data on endotracheal tube (ETT) balloon pressure using a tire pressure gauge which will be converted into cmH2O units as an internationalstandard for measuring endotracheal tube (ETT) balloon pressure. Result : From the 4 research sample groups, 24 samples were obtained whichhad been tested and analyzed using the Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS) version 24.0 application. This study obtained a p-value of 0.001 and obtained an R coefficient of 97.9%. Conclusion : This study showed the results of a very strong correlation between volume and pressure of the Endotracheal Tube (ETT) balloon.
