Abstract
Penelitian ini fokus pada pemodelan asuransi jiwa malaria dengan menerapkan metode double decrement, clustering, dan pendekatan Lee-Carter. Tujuannya adalah untuk menetapkan harga premi dan cadangan asuransi jiwa di negara Cambodia, Angola, dan Nigeria. Data yang diperlukan melibatkan variabel demografis, medis, dan faktor lainnya. Karena keterbatasan data, dua dataset akan digabungkan, dan faktor waktu yang digunakan mencakup periode tahun 1990 sampai 2019 untuk rentang usia 1 hingga 99 tahun. Clustering digunakan untuk mengelompokkan data, sementara metode Lee-Carter digunakan untuk memprediksi tingkat mortalitas. Selain menetapkan premi dan cadangan asuransi, penelitian ini juga merancang produk asuransi jiwa berjangka 10 tahun. Produk ini mencakup manfaat pembayaran saat meninggal dan pembayaran premi secara anuitas pada awal tahun. Perlu dicatat bahwa perhitungan premi dan cadangan asuransi dilakukan di lokasi yang berbeda untuk memungkinkan perbandingan dan evaluasi perbedaan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa model double decrement berhasil mengatasi perbedaan data, dan perbedaan lokasi memiliki dampak signifikan pada perhitungan premi dan cadangan asuransi. Penelitian ini memberikan kontribusi penting dalam mengatasi tantangan pemodelan asuransi jiwa malaria, dengan temuan yang dapat diterapkan secara praktis oleh perusahaan asuransi untuk menyesuaikan premi dan cadangan asuransi sesuai dengan konteks geografis yang berbeda. / This research focuses on modeling malaria life insurance using the double decrement, clustering, and Lee-Carter approach methods. The aim is to determine life insurance premium rates and reserves in Cambodia, Angola, and Nigeria. The required data involves demographic, medical, and other relevant variables. Due to data limitations, two datasets will be merged, and the time factor considered will span from 1990 to 2019, covering ages 1 to 99. Clustering is utilized for data grouping, while the Lee-Carter method is employed to predict mortality rates. In addition to determining premiums and insurance reserves, the research also designs a 10-year term life insurance product. This product includes benefits for death payments and premium payments as annuities at the beginning of each year. Notably, calculating premium and insurance reserve calculations are conducted in different locations to enable comparison and evaluation of differences. The research findings indicate that the double decrement model successfully addresses data disparities, and geographical differences significantly impact premium and insurance reserve calculations. This study makes a significant contribution to addressing challenges in modeling malaria life insurance, with practical implications applicable for insurance companies to adjust premiums and insurance reserves based on different geographical contexts.
