Abstract

Pendahuluan: Peningkatan jumlah penduduk di Indonesia semakin besar seiring bertambahnya waktu, sehingga diperlukan penggunaan kontrasepsi untuk menekan angka lonjakan penduduk. Tingkat pengetahuan remaja terhadap penggunaan kontrasepsi sangat rendah sehingga banyak terjadi kehamilan dini, sehingga diperlukan informasi yang tepat terhadap penggunaan kontrasepsi. Metode: Penelitian ini menggunakan desain cross-sectional dengan pengambilan data yang bersifat primer (pertanyaan langsung kepada responden) dilakukan mulai bulan Januari hingga Juni 2023. Subjek penelitian adalah remaja yang berusia 18-23 tahun di kota Tangerang yang memenuhi kriteria inklusi dan eksklusi. Penentuan sampel dilakukan secara purposive sampling. Data diperoleh dari kuesioner dan dianalisis secara univariat dan bivariat. Analisis univariat berupa distribusi frekuensi dan analisis bivariat menggunakan uji chi square. Hasil: Sebanyak 80 subyek yang diteliti didapatkan hasil, tidak terdapat hubungan antara usia (p = 0,810 > 0,05), pendidikan (p = 0,319 > 0,05). Kesimpulan: Latar belakang pendidikan yang tinggi dan peningkatan usia yang lebih matang ternyata tidak semua bisa meningkatkan pengetahuan seseorang terhadap kontrasepsi. Kata kunci : Metode kontrasepsi, Kehamilan, Remaja, Pengetahuan/Introduction: The population increase in Indonesia is increasing over time, so the use of contraception is needed to reduce the population increase. The level of knowledge among teenagers regarding the use of contraception is very low so that many early pregnancies occur, so accurate information regarding the use of contraception is needed. Method: This research used a cross-sectional design with primary data collection (direct questions to respondents) carried out from January to June 2023. Research subjects were teenagers aged 18-23 years in the city of Tangerang who met the inclusion and exclusion criteria. Sample determination was carried out using purposive sampling. Data was obtained from questionnaires and analyzed univariately and bivariately. Univariate analysis is in the form of frequency distribution and bivariate analysis uses the chi square test. Results: A total of 80 subjects studied showed that there was no relationship between age (p = 0.810 > 0.05), education (p = 0.319 > 0.05). Conclusion: Not all of a high educational background and a more mature age can increase a person's knowledge of contraception. Keywords: Contraceptive methods, Pregnancy, Adolescents, Knowledge.
