Abstract

Hustle Culture merupakan suatu tindakan bekerja keras tanpa henti dan memiliki sedikit waktu untuk beristirahat yang dilakukan secara terus meneurs hingga menjadi suatu gaya hidup. Hustle culture banyak terjadi pada kalangan muda, yang menganggap bahwa kesuksesan dapat diraih dengan memiliki produktivitas yang tinggi dan memanfaatkan setiap waktu sebaik mungkin untuk mencapai kesuksesan tersebut. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisa makna hustle culture pada lirik lagu “00:00 (Zero O’Clock)” karya BTS. Melalui musik, komunikasi menjadi lebih efektif sebagai media menyampaikan pesan. Lagu “00:00 (Zero O’Clock)” mengandung makna yang menggambarkan hustle culture serta dampaknya pada kehidupan seseorang. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan semiotika Ferdinand de Saussure dengan menganalisis penanda, petanda, dan signifikansi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa makna hustle culture yang terkandung di dalam lirik lagu “00:00 (Zero O’Clock)” dapat menyebabkan seseorang merasa sedih, lelah, tertinggal dari orang lain serta tekanan dari lingkungan sekitar. Selain itu, lagu “00:00 (Zero O’Clock)” juga merepresentasikan penerimaan diri serta harapan akan hari yang lebih baik di masa depan. Penelitian ini memberikan kontribusi bagi pemahaman tentang hustle culture di kalangan muda di Indonesia. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa hustle culture memiliki efek negatif terhadap seseorang seperti gangguan kesehatan mental, overthinking, mempertanyakan diri sendiri, hingga kehilangan keseimbangan dalam hidup. Oleh karena itu, penting untuk mengubah budaya kerja keras tanpa henti menjadi budaya kerja yang lebih sehat dan seimbang. Kata kunci : BTS, hustle culture, lirik lagu, semiotika, Zero O’Clock. / Hustle Culture is an act of working tirelessly and having little time for rest, carried out continuously until it becomes a lifestyle. Hustle culture often occurs among young people who believe that success can be achieved through high productivity and utilizing every moment efficiently to achieve that success. This study aims to analyze the meaning of hustle culture in the lyrics of the song “00:00 (Zero O’Clock)” by BTS. Through music, communication becomes more effective as a medium for conveying messages. The song “00:00 (Zero O’Clock)” contains meanings that describe hustle culture and its impact on an individual's life. The method used in this study is a qualitative method with Ferdinand de Saussure's semiotic approach by analyzing signs, signifiers, and signification. The results of this study show that the meaning of hustle culture contained in the lyrics of the song “00:00 (Zero O’Clock)” can make someone feel sad, tired, left behind by others, and pressured by the surrounding environment. The song “00:00 (Zero O’Clock)” also represents self-acceptance and hope for a better future. This study contributes to the understanding of hustle culture among the youth in Indonesia. The findings indicate that hustle culture has adverse effects on individuals, such as mental health disorders, overthinking, self-doubt, and a loss of balance in life. Therefore, it is essential to transform the culture of relentless hard work into a healthier and more balanced work culture. Keywords: BTS, Hustle Culture, Song lyrics, Semiotic, Zero O’Clock
