Abstract

Apart from the benefits of cattle farming, this business also has some bad impacts to the environment, in the form of Environmental Pollution and Global Warming. These issues can be minimized through processing and disposing the wastes of cattle farm in accordance with the applicable regulations in Indonesia, as regulated in Law number 32 of 2009 concerning Environmental Protection and Management and several other regulations. Therefore, this research aims to find out the implementation of the Law Number 32 of 2009 and how the entrepreneurs are responsible for the environmental pollution that occurs. The research method used in this research is normative with secondary data in the form of library research and supported by primary data in the form of interview. The result of this research shows that cattle farms that do not comply with their obligations to properly process and dispose the waste can be subject to responsibility in administrative, civil, and criminal forms according to the violations committed. In the terms of civil liability, cattle farms can be held liable not only for acts against the law, but also based on strict liability as regulated in Article 88 of UUPPLH. Hence, cattle farms need to comply with their environmental licensing obligations to process and dispose the waste that produced by cattle farming to minimize the environmental pollution.
