Abstract

With the occurrence of the Covid-19 pandemic throughout the world, its has had a significant impact in all areas of work, school, and others. Especially in the academic field which is experiencing major changes with the transition of teaching and learning activities from onsite to online learning.Teachers and students are forced to adapt to the situation and carry out academic activities through online meetings via technological devices such as gadgets, laptops, and other technology devices. The method used in this research is a qualitative approach with a field study type. Data collection techniques use observation, interviews and documentation techniques. and the data analysis techniques used in this research are data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. Interviews were conducted with teachers and students who are part of school XYZ and they have experienced both onsite and online learning during the Covid-19 pandemic period and after the pandemic. The results showed that during online and onsite learning there are huge differences in the results of the communication process between the teachers and students during the learning process. According to them, both teachers and students prefer onsite learning rather than online learning because online learning requires more discipline from students and students need to be proactive in class to be able to achieve their targets and goals in the academic year. Same with the teachers, during online learning they have to put more effort in preparing study materials for the whole semester during the current Covid-19 situation at that time and it requires more effort during online rather than onsite learning. / Dengan terjadinya pandemi Covid-19 di seluruh dunia memberikan dampak yang signifikan di segala bidang pekerjaan, sekolah, dan lainnya. Khususnya dalam bidang akademik yang mengalami perubahan besar dengan adanya peralihan kegiatan belajar mengajar dari pembelajaran onsite ke pembelajaran online. Guru dan siswa terpaksa harus beradaptasi dengan keadaan dan melakukan kegiatan akademik melalui pertemuan online melalui perangkat teknologi seperti gadget, laptop, dan perangkat teknologi lainnya. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah pendekatan kualitatif dengan jenis studi lapangan. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. dan teknik analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah pengumpulan data, reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Wawancara dilakukan kepada guru dan siswa yang tergabung dalam sekolah XYZ dan mereka pernah merasakan pembelajaran tatap muka dan daring pada masa pandemi Covid-19 dan setelah pandemi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pada saat pembelajaran daring dan tatap muka terdapat perbedaan yang sangat besar pada hasil proses komunikasi antara guru dan siswa selama proses pembelajaran. Menurut mereka, baik guru maupun siswa lebih memilih pembelajaran di tempat dibandingkan pembelajaran online karena pembelajaran online lebih menuntut kedisiplinan dari siswa dan siswa perlu proaktif di kelas untuk dapat mencapai target dan sasarannya pada tahun ajaran. Sama halnya dengan para guru, dalam pembelajaran daring mereka harus lebih berupaya dalam menyiapkan bahan pembelajaran selama satu semester di tengah situasi Covid-19 saat ini dan memerlukan upaya lebih dalam pembelajaran daring dibandingkan pembelajaran tatap muka.
