Abstract

PT XYZ, which operates in the field of electronic goods sales, faces challenges in terms of inventory and inventory management, often resulting in orders exceeding the available stock. This situation leads to sudden procurement, causing a decline in customer satisfaction levels. To address this issue, the implementation of an inventory control system is necessary. The inventory control system aims to handle inventory data and management, processing the data into information that can be used to enhance the profitability of businesses utilizing it. With the implementation of the inventory control system at PT XYZ, a decrease in human errors related to inventory stock and a reduction in order cancellation frequency can be observed./ PT XYZ yang bergerak pada bidang penjualan barang elektronik menghadapi tantangan terhadap hal pendataan dan manajemen inventaris sehingga sering terjadi pemesanan yang melebihi jumlah stok yang tersedia sehingga menyebabkan PT XYZ harus melakukan pengadaan mendadak yang mengakibatkan menurunnya tingkat kepuasan pelanggan. Untuk mengatasi hal tersebut, maka diperlukan perancangan sistem inventory control. Sistem inventory control adalah sebuah sistem yang bertujuan untuk pendataan dan management inventaris sekaligus mengolah data tersebut menjadi informasi yang dapat digunakan untuk meningkatkan keuntungan dari sebuah bisnis yang menggunakannya. Dengan diterapkannya sistem inventory control pada PT XYZ, dapat dilihat human error terhadap stok di dalam inventaris menurun serta berkurangnya frekuensi pembatalan order.
