Abstract

Pendidikan berbasis Daring (dalam jaringan) telah menjadi salah satu komponen integral dalam dunia pendidikan modern. Moodle, sebagai salah satu platform Learning Management Systems (LMS) yang paling popular. Moodle LMS adalah sistem pembelajaran yang kuat untuk mendukung sejumlah aktivitas yang dilakukan oleh guru dan siswa selama proses pembelajaran daring. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melakukan analisis beban kerja pada Moodle dengan arsitektur load balancing dan Moodle standalone dengan fokus pada evaluasi kinerja. Metode penelitian yang dilakukan membuat load balancing dengan algoritma Round Robin, Moodle dengan metode load balancing dibandingkan dengan Moodle standalone menggunakan aplikasi Apache JMeter untuk menguji beban kerja, dan mencatat laporan hasil pengujian beban kerja tersebut. Hasil pengujian dianalisis menggunakan aplikasi Disco untuk melihat proses pengguna dalam mengakses web Moodle dan kinerja dari load balancing maupun standalone. Pengujian melibatkan simulasi beban kerja pada Moodle dengan 30 pengguna, periode ramp-up sebesar enam detik dan dilakukan pengulangan sebanyak lima kali. Parameter kinerja yang dievaluasi mencakup respons time dan alur sistem pada Moodle. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa implementasi arsitektur load balancing pada Moodle memberikan keunggulan dalam kapasitas untuk menyeimbangkan beban kerja pada server. Dengan melibatkan 30 pengguna, periode ramp-up enam detik, dan dilakukan pengulangan sebanyak lima kali, kinerja Moodle dengan load balancing memperlihatkan respons yang lebih baik dengan terlihat bahwa median case duration sebesar 18,1 menit dan Moodle standalone memperoleh 18,2 menit, ini membuktikan bahwa load balancing bisa menyeimbangkan beban kerja pada server. / Online-based education has become an integral component in the modern education landscape. Moodle, as one of the most popular Learning Management Systems (LMS) platforms, plays a crucial role. Moodle LMS is a powerful learning system designed to support various activities carried out by teachers and students during the online learning process. This research aims to conduct a workload analysis on Moodle with load balancing architecture and standalone Moodle, focusing on performance evaluation. The research method involvesimplementing load balancing with the Round Robin algorithm. Moodle with load balancing is compared to standalone Moodle using the Apache JMeter application to test the workload, and the test results are recorded. The workload test results are then analyzed using the Disco application to examine user processes in accessing the Moodle web and the performance of both load balancing and standalone. The testing involves simulating the workload on Moodle with 30 users, a ramp-up period of six seconds, and five repetitions. Performance parameters evaluated include response time and system flow in Moodle. Based on the research findings, it can be concluded that the implementation of load balancing architecture on Moodle provides an advantage in the capacity to balance the workload on servers. Involving 30 users, a ramp-up period of six seconds, and five repetitions, the performance of Moodle with load balancing shows better responsiveness, with a median case duration of 18.1 minutes, compared to 18.2 minutes for standalone Moodle. This proves that load balancing can effectively distribute the workload on servers.
