Abstract

Indonesia has raised concerns towards environmental issues, since Indonesia is regarded as the second rank country who has mismanaged plastic waste the most. As a non-profit organization that concerns about this issue, Gerakan Indonesia Diet Kantong Plastik focuses on advocacy to release regulations and policies to reduce single-use plastics. The organization does campaign through activities and social media platform to reach its stakeholders that are involved in a campaign. This research aims to describe how Gerakan Indonesia Diet Kantong Plastik creates campaign strategies to facilitate the government in releasing regulations or policy, along with encouraging the society to reduce plastic bags use. Using qualitative approach and descriptive research method, the research focuses on the strategy created through campaign activities and social media. Through the campaigns, Gerakan Indonesia Diet Kantong Plastik aims for advocacy to change the behavior of the society to reduce single-use plastics, especially plastic bags. Sebagai organisasi nonprofit yang peduli dengan isu tersebut, Gerakan Indonesia Diet Kantong Plastik memiliki fokus terhadap advokasi agar pemerintah dapat mengeluarkan peraturan dan kebijakan untuk mengurangi penggunaan plastik. Gerakan Indonesia Diet Kantong Plastik melaksanakan kampanye melalui aktivitas dan platform media sosial untuk menjangkau stakeholders yang terlibat dalam kampanye tersebut. Penelitian ini memiliki tujuan untuk mendeskripsikan bagaimana Gerakan Indonesia Diet Kantong Plastik merancang strategi kampanye untuk memudahkan pemerintah dalam mengeluarkan peraturan atau kebijakan, bersama dengan mendukung masyarakat untuk mengurangi penggunaan plastik. Menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dan metode deskriptif, penelitian ini memusatkan strategi kampanye yang dirancang melalui aktivitas kampanye dan Instagram. Melalui kampanye, Gerakan Indonesia Diet Kantong Plastik bertujuan untuk advokasi untuk mengubah perilaku masyarakat untuk mengurangi penggunaan plastik. Referensi: 63 (1973-2019)
