Abstract

Di era digitalisasi ini, banyak perusahaan yang mengembangkan aplikasi untuk mempermudah akses ke produk mereka, tidak terkecuali di bidang transportasi. Perusahaan sudah mengembangkan aplikasi transportasi online berbasis mobile. Adapun tanggung jawab Quality Assurance Engineer untuk memastikan bahwa aplikasi yang akan rilis bebas dari bugs. Divisi Quality Assurance pada perusahaan masih menguji secara manual, yang memakan waktu sekitar 2-3 hari untuk regression testing pada 1 fitur. Sehingga, solusi yang ditawarkan adalah dengan mengimplementasikan automation testing. Metode penelitian dilakukan secara kualitatif dengan mengumpulkan data untuk dianalisis. Black Box Testing digunakan karena hanya menguji dari segi fungsionalitas fitur. Pengujian dilakukan secara manual dan automation untuk mengambil perbandingan dan kemudian dianalisis. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, waktu keseluruhan yang dibutuhkan untuk melakukan testing secara manual adalah 15 menit 26 detik, sementara pengujian secara automation dengan Katalon membutuhkan waktu 19 menit 18 detik. Dari hasil ini, dapat disimpulkan bahwa secara efisiensi waktu, pengujian secara manual lebih unggul 3 menit 52 detik dibanding dengan pengujian secara automation. Walaupun secara keseluruhan waktu pengujian secara manual lebih unggul dibandingkan pengujian automation, ketika ditinjau untuk jangka panjangnya, kebutuhan regression testing, skala pengujian, maka automation testing lebih unggul. / In this era of digitalization, companies are developing applications to improve accesibility to their products, including in the field of transportation. The occurrence of bugs is inevitable in the process of development. It is the Quality Assurance Engineer's responsibility to ensure that the application to be released is free of bugs. The company's Quality Assurance division still tests manually, which takes around 2-3 days for regression testing on one feature. In order to increase efficiency, the proposed solution is by implemeting automation testing. The research is done by using Qualitative method. The Black Box Testing method is used because it only tests in terms of feature functionality. Testing is carried out manually and automation to compare and analyse them. Based on the research results, the total time required to carry out manual testing is 15 minutes 26 seconds, while automation testing with Katalon takes 19 minutes 18 seconds. From these results, it can be concluded that in terms of time efficiency, manual testing is 3 minutes 52 seconds superior to automated testing. Even though the overall time for manual testing is superior to automation testing, when it comes to other factors such as for the long term, the need for regression testing, testing scale, then automation testing would be superior.
