Abstract

Grand City Hall Hotel Medan is one of 5 star hotel in Medan City. The main problem identified in this research is the ineffectiveness of employee training, leading to employees being less prepared to fulfill their duties and responsibilities. Furthermore, the incorrect leadership style poses a challenge by restricting employee participation and creativity, while improper employee placements that do not align with their skills and interests can hinder motivation and career growth. These problems will influence the employees’ job satisfaction. The research's purpose is to understand the influence of training, leadership style and placement on job satisfaction at the Grand City Hall Hotel Medan. This research was conducted using quantitative and descriptive methods. Data is collected through random sampling techniques by distributing the questionnaires using Google Form. The population in this research are all employees at Grand City Hall Hotel Medan with a total sample of 91 individuals that were determined using the Slovin formula.The test has passed the validity, reliability, classical assumption tests of normality, multicollinearity and heteroscedasticity test using SPSS software. The results showed that training, leadership style and placement have significant influence and simultaneously on job satisfaction at Grand City Hall Hotel Medan. So, that hypotheses H1, H2, H3, H4 are accepted. The coefficient of determination is 39.6% and the remaining 60.4% is influenced by other variables not examined in this research. Recommendations for Grand City Hall Hotel Medan are to evaluate and adjust training methods based on employees’ abilities, improve leaders’ analytical skills to gain trust and respect, reassess placement processes by considering required education and experience, and to adapt leadership style to meet employees’ needs and expectations. / Grand City Hall Hotel Medan adalah salah satu hotel bintang 5 di kota Medan. Masalah utama yang teridenfikasi di penelitian ini adalah ketidakefektifan pelatihan karyawan, sehingga karyawan kurang siap untuk memenuhi tugas dan tanggung jawab mereka. Selain itu, salah gaya kepemimpinan menjadi tantangan yang membatasi partisipasi dan kreativitas karyawan, serta penempatan karyawan yang tidak sesuai dengan keterampilan dan minat mereka dapat menghambat motivasi dan pertumbuhan karir. Masalah itu akan mempengaruhi kepuasan kerja karyawan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pelatihan, gaya kepemimpinan, dan penempatan terhadap kepuasan kerja di Grand City Hall Hotel Medan. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan metode kuantitatif dan deskriptif. Data dikumpulkan melalui teknik random sampling, Dengan menyebarkan kuesioner menggunakan Google form. Populasi di penelitian ini adalah semua karyawan Grand City Hall Hotel Medan dengan total sampel sebanyak 91 orang yang ditentukan menggunakan rumus Slovin. Uji validitas,reliabilitas,uji asumsi klasik normalitas, multikolinearitas, dan heterokedasitas dilakukan menggunakan perangkat lunak SPSS. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pelatihan, gaya kepemimpinan, dan penempatan memiliki pengaruh signifikan dan secara simultan terhadap kepuasan kerja di Grand City Hall Hotel Medan. Oleh itu, hipotesis H1,H2,H3,H4 diterima. Koefisien determinasi adalah 39,6% dan sisanya sebesar 60,4% dipengaruhi oleh variabel lain yang tidak diteliti dalam penelitian ini. Rekomendasi untuk Grand City Hall Hotel Medan adalah untuk mengevaluasi dan menyesuaikan pelatihan sesuai dengan kemampuan karyawan, meningkatkan keterampilan analitis pemimpin untuk mendapatkan kepercayaan dan hormat, mengevaluasi ulang proses penempatan dengan mempertimbangkan pendidikan dan pengalaman yang diperlukan, dan menyesuaikan gaya kepemimpinan untuk memenuhi kebutuhan dan harapan karyawan.
