Abstract

Salah satu industri dengan perkembangan yang pesat di Indonesia adalah industri otomotif. Industri otomotif memiliki banyak aktor yang berperan penting dalam perkembangannya, Jepang dan Cina menjadi aktor – aktor yang berkontribusi besar terhadap industri otomotif, dan tentunya juga persaingan mereka dalam pasar otomotif memberikan dampak terhadap regulasi dan kebijakan dalam Indonesia. Dampak – dampak yang diberikan persaingan Jepang & Cina mendorong Presiden Joko Widodo untuk memudahkan investasi asing di dalam Indonesia. Dengan Cina menjadi pemain baru dalam industri otomotif, perkembangan produk – produk otomotifnya mungkin mengalahkan produk Jepang yang saat ini tetap menjadi pemegang pasar otomotif di Indonesia. Untuk dapat menganalisa keterkaitan persaingan Jepang dan Cina di Industri otomotif Indonesia, skripsi ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif, sesuai dengan rumusan masalah yang dimulai dengan kata “bagaimana”, yakni hendak mencari jawaban atas pengaruh persaingan industri otomotif asal Jepang dan Cina di Indonesia pada masa pemerintahaan Joko Widodo Periode 2015 – 2019. Penulis menggunakan metode penelusuran daring dalam menemukan dan mengumpulkan data sekunder, seperti melalui Journal Storage (JSTOR), Johanes Oentoro Library, Google Scholar, dokumen seperti pernyataan pemerintah, laporan pemerintah, laporan dari institusi keuangan global, dan sumber serupa lainnya yang tersedia di internet. / One of the industries with rapid development in Indonesia is the automotive industry. The automotive industry has many actors who play an important role in its development, Japan and China are actors who contribute greatly to the automotive industry, and of course their competition in the automotive industry market has an impact on the regulations and policies provided by Indonesia. The impacts of Japanese & Chinese competition have encouraged President Joko Widodo to facilitate foreign investment in Indonesia. With China becoming a new player in the automotive industry, the development of its automotive products may beat Japanese products which currently remain the market holder for the automotive industry in Indonesia. To be able to analyze the relationship between Japanese and Chinese competition in the Indonesian automotive industry, this thesis uses a qualitative approach, in accordance with the problem formulation which begins with the word "how", namely looking for answers to the influence of automotive industry competition from Japan and China in Indonesia during the Joko Widodo Period 2015 – 2019. The author uses online search methods to find and collect secondary data, such as through Journal Storage (JSTOR), Johanes Oentoro Library, Google Scholar, documents such as government statements, government reports, reports from global financial institutions, and similar sources others available on the internet.
