Abstract

Diarrhea is the second causes of death in children aged 1-5 years old. According to Riset Kesehatan Dasar, diarrhea causes the mortality up to 31,4% in infant and 25,2% in children aged 1-5 years old. Many factors that can cause diarrhea like socio-economic, demographic, environment, and daily habit including water sources and sanitation. In Indonesia, it still has one important factors which is Perilaku Hidup Bersih dan Sehat (PHBS). To find factors that affected the incidence rate of diarrhea in children aged 1-5 years old in Kompleks Alam Indah.This research done by using analytic and comparative study with crosssectional by questionnaire that involved 92 samples then analyzed used Chi Square Test. There are 49 (53,2%) children who ever had diarrhea and 43 (46,8%) children never. The results of the statistics analyzed showed there are no relationship between the socio-demographic factors such as parents education level (0,089), job (1,000), and number of child (0,887). There is a relationship between Perilaku Hidup Bersih dan Sehat and diarrhea (0,007). Factors that affected the incidence rate of diarrhea in children aged 1-5 years old in Kompleks Alam Indah is only Perilaku Hidup Bersih dan Sehat / Diare merupakan penyebab kematian kedua pada anak usia 1-5 tahun. Berdasarkan data statistik oleh Riset Kesehatan Dasar, diare menyebabkan kematian hingga 31,4% pada bayi dan 25,2% pada anak baita. Banyak faktor yang mempengaruhi diare seperti sosio-ekonomi, demografi, lingkungan dan kebiasaan meliputi sumber air dan sanitasi. Di Indonesia, salah satu faktor yang berpengaruh adalah Perilaku Hidup Bersih dan Sehat (PHBS).Untuk mengetahui faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi kejadian diare pada anak usia 1-5 tahun di Kompleks Alam Indah. Penelitian ini termasuk dalam studi analitik komparatif dengan desain studi cross-sectional menggunakan kuesioner yang melibatkan 92 sampel, kemudian dianalisa dengan uji Chi Square. Terdapat 49 (53,2%) anak yang pernah mengalami diare dan 43 (46,8%) anak lainnya tidak pernah mengalami diare. Berdasarkan hasil analisa statistik menunjukkan tidak adanya hubungan antara faktor sosio-demografik seperti riwayat pendidikan orang tua (0,089), pekerjaan orang tua (1,000), dan jumlah anak (0,887). Sedangkan terdapat hubungan antara Perilaku Hidup Bersih dan Sehat dengan diare (0,007). Faktor yang mempengaruhi angka kejadian diare pada anak usia 1-5 tahun di Kompleks Alam Indah hanya Perilaku Hidup Bersih dan Sehat.
