Abstract

Die extrusion merupakan sebuah alat yang penting dalam proses produksi di PT ABC. Alat ini berfungsi sebagai pembuat profile material yang nantinya material tersebut akan disusun menjadi sebuah komponen dasar pembuat ban. Namun pada aktualnya sering kali terjadi keterlambatan proses produksi yang disebabkan keterlambatan dalam proses transaksi permintaan die extrusion. Sehingga material yang dibutuhkan tidak tersedia dalam proses produksi. Faktor terbesar yang menyebabkan keterlambatan dalam permintaan die extrusion adalah proses transaksi masih menggunakan metode yang tidak efektif yaitu dengan membuat email permintaan design profile die extrusion pada pihak R&D, setelah itu proses pembuatan form baru bisa dilakukan oleh tim technical. Proses selanjutnya adalah mencetak dokumen untuk proses persetujuan oleh atasan dan apabila proses persetujuan sudah selesai maka technical akan berjalan dari kantor technical menuju kantor die man untuk melakukan proses persetujuan akhir. Rangkaian proses tersebut dirasakan kurang efektif, sehingga pada penelitian ini dirancang sebuah aplikasi sistem permintaan die extrusion yang mampu membuat design profile untuk pihak technical. Dengan demikian tidak diperlukan lagi design profile dari pihak R&D. Aplikasi ini dibuat menggunakan metode UML (Unified Model Language). Hasil pengukuran waktu proses transaksi permintaan die extrusion pada sistem lama selama 2981,23 detik dan terjadi pengurangan waktu selama 1326,22 detik menggunakan sistem yang diusulkan. Dengan demikian terjadi efisiensi kerja 44,48%. / Die extrusion is an important tool in the production process at PT ABC. This tool functions as a material profile maker which will later be compiled into a basic component for making tires. However, in reality, delays in the production process often occur due to delays in the extrusion die request transaction process. So the required materials are not available in the production process. The biggest factor causing delays in extrusion die requests is that the transaction process still uses an ineffective method, namely by sending an email requesting a die extrusion profile design to the R&D side, after which the process of creating a new form can be carried out by the technical team. The next process is to print the document for the approval process by the superior and when the approval process is complete, the technical will walk from the technical office to the die man's office to carry out the final approval process. This series of processes was felt to be less effective, so in this research a die extrusion request system application was designed which was able to create profile designs for technical parties. Thus, there is no need for profile design from the R&D side. This application was created using the UML (Unified Model Language) method. The results of measuring the transaction processing time for die extrusion requests on the old system were 2981,23 seconds and there was a time reduction of 1326,22 seconds using the proposed system. Thus there is a work efficiency of 44,48%.
