Abstract

Background: Patients suffering from end-stage chronic kidney disease should go through hemodialysis therapy. Anemia, which can be seen from a decreasing haemoglobin levels in blood, is also commonly found in patients suffering from chronic kidney disease. Hemodialysis therapy works to filter metabolic waste by using membrane as a substitute for kidney. Hemodialysis therapy affects the decrease of hemoglobin levels in the blood. Anemia, experienced by patients with chronic kidney failure, will also affect sleep quality as well as daily activities. Sleep disorders, that usually occur in anemic patients, affect the amount or duration of sleep at night. Patients wake up often in the middle of the night resulting in easier fatigue in the following day. The term of such sleep quality disorder is often referred to as insomnia. Aim: To investigate factors of the lack of hemoglobin levels, that affect sleep quality in patients with chronic renal failure, who go through hemodialysis treatment. Methods: The method of this study is accomplished by cross-sectional study with subject group of patients suffering from chronic kidney failure between the age of 20-50 years at Siloam General Hospital through primary data collection with Sleep Quality Assessment (PSQI) questionnaire and secondary datas from examination of hemoglobin level from the patients's blood test. In order to analyze each variable in this study, korelation test will be used. Tabulation will be processed through the use of Microsoft Excel 2016. Data analysis will be performed by using SPSS Statistic version 22.0 program. Result: From 95 sample, there’s 96.8% of them which have poor sleep quality and mean value of the hemoglobin measurmen in women is 9.52 g/dL and in men is 9.29 g/dL. This study shows that there’s no correlation between poor sleep quality and anemia with r=0.119 Conclusion : There’s no correlation between anemia and sleep quality disorder in chronic kidney disease patient with hemodialisis at Rumah Sakit Umum Siloam / Latar Belakang: Pasien yang menderita gagal ginjal kronik stadium akhir harus menjalani terapi hemodialisis. Anemia yang dapat dilihat dari penurunan kadar haemoglobin darah juga sering ditemukan pada pasien yang menderita gagal ginjal kronik. Proses hemodialisis bekerja untuk menyaring sampah metabolisme dengan menggunakan membrane sebagai pengganti ginjal. Hemodialisis ini berdampak pada penurunan kadar hemoglobin dalam darah. Anemia yang dialami pasien gagal ginjal kronik akan berdampak pula pada aspek kualitas tidur serta pada aktivitas sehari-harinya. Gangguan kualitas tidur yang biasanya terjadi pada pasien anemia berpengaruh pada jumlah atau durasi tidur di malam hari. Pasien lebih sering terbangun dan cepat lelah. Istilah gangguan kualitas tidur ini sering disebut sebagai insomnia. Tujuan: Mengetahui faktor dari kurangnya kadar hemoglobin yang mempengaruhi kualitas tidur pada pasien gagal ginjal kronik yang menjalani hemodialisis. Metode: Metode penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan studi potong lintang pada target subjek pasien yang menderita gagal ginjal kronik usia 20-50 tahun di Rumah Sakit Umum Siloam melalui pengambilan data primer dengan kuesioner Sleep Quality Assessment (PSQI) dan data sekunder dari pemeriksaan kadar Haemoglobin darah pasien. Untuk menganalisis setiap variable pada penelitian ini digunakan uji korelasi. Tabulasi akan dilakukan dengan menggunakan program Microsoft Excel 2016. Analisis data akan dilakukan dengan menggunakan program SPSS versi 22.0 Hasil: Didapat 95 sampel dimana 96.8% memiliki kualitas tidur yang buruk dan rata-rata kadar pemeriksaan hemoglobin darah pasien perempuan adalah 9.52 g/dL serta laki-laki adalah 9.29 g/dL. Studi ini memberikan hasil yaitu tidak ada hubungan yang kuat antara anemia dengan kualitas tidur dengan r=0.119 Kesimpulan: Tidak adanya hubungan yang kuat antara anemia dan gangguan kualitas tidur pada pasien gagal ginjal kronik yang menjalani hemodialisis di Rumah Sakit Umum Siloam.
