Abstract

Penelitian ini membahas mengenai akibat hukum bagi para orang tua tunggal yang melakukan proses adopsi anak sebelum perkawinan, proses adopsi anak oleh orang tua tunggal ini mempunyai persyaratan dan proses yang panjang. Pada dasarnya menurut Peraturan Pemerintah proses adopsi oleh orang tua tunggal dilarang. Didalam UU Perlindungan Anak juga dijelaskan hak-hak anak yang mana akan dapat lebih mudah dipenuhi oleh orang tua yang lengkap. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui akibat hukum bagi para orang tua tunggal yang melakukan proses adopsi anak. Tipe penelitian yang digunakan adalah tipe penelitian Yuridis Normatif-Dogmatik dengan menggunakan pendekatan konsep (conceptual approach), pendekatan perundang-undangan (statute approach). Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa, proses adopsi anak yang dilakukan merupakan hal yang bisa dan mungkin untuk para orang tua tunggal lakukan, asalkan memenuhi semua persyaratan serta mampu untuk memenuhi hak anak secara utuh. Kata Kunci : Adopsi, Anak, Orang Tua Tunggal, Hak. / This research discusses the legal consequences for single parents who carry out the process of adopting children before marriage. The process of adopting children by single parents has requirements and is a long process. Basically, according to Government Regulations, adoption by single parents is prohibited. The Child Protection Law also explains children's rights which can be more easily fulfilled by complete parents. The aim of this research is to determine the legal consequences for single parents who undertake the process of adopting a child. The type of research used is Normative-Dogmatic Juridical research using a conceptual approach and a statutory approach. The results of this research show that the process of adopting a child is something that can and is possible for single parents to do, as long as they fulfill all the requirements and are able to fulfill the child's rights in full
