Abstract

Mathematics learning achievement is an important variable in the successful achievement of numeracy learning competencies, while mathematical problem solving ability is an indicator of success in applying mathematical theory to the context of everyday life by applying the principles of High Order Thinking Skills (HOTS). Therefore, it is deemed important to carry out research and development related to the preparation and development of learning media that can support the optimization of teaching and learning activities and learning outcomes. This research aims to examine the use of learning media that is good, effective and appropriate to the needs and characteristics of students through YouTube media and Learning Blogs and its relationship with mathematical problem solving abilities and learning achievement. The method used was quantitative quasi-experiment with correlation tests on mathematical problem solving abilities and learning achievement for classes VIII C and VIII D at SMP Tarakanita 2 Jakarta with 58 respondents. The Cronbach's Alpha test on the YouTube media test instruments (0.83), Blog (0.82), Problem Solving (Pretest 0.92 and Posttest 0.86), and Achievement (0.90) shows high validity and reliability. Based on non- parametric hypothesis testing using the Spearman Test method, it is known that there is a correlation between the use of YouTube media and Problem Solving (R-count 0.37), YouTube and Achievement (R-count 0.41), Blogs and Problem Solving (R-count 0.42), and Blog with Achievement (R-count 0.39). The non-parametric Mann Whitney test in the control class and experimental class regarding achievement was stated to be identical with the same mean and variance so that there was no difference in the increase in Ngain in the two classes. / Prestasi belajar matematika menjadi salah satu variabel penting dari keberhasilan capaian kompetensi pembelajaran numerasi, sedangkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis merupakan indikator keberhasilan menerapkan teori matematika ke dalam konteks kehidupan sehari-hari dengan menerapkan prinsip-prinsip High Order Thinking Skills (HOTS). Oleh karenanya dirasa penting untuk melakukan penelitian dan pengembangan terkait penyiapan serta pengembangan media pembelajaran yang dapat mendukung optimalisasi kegiatan belajar mengajar dan capaian pembelajarannya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji pemanfaatan media pembelajaran yang baik, efektif, dan sesuai dengan kebutuhan serta karakteristik peserta didik melalui media YouTube dan Blog Pembelajaran serta hubungannya dengan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis dan prestasi belajar. Metode yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif kuasi eksperimen dengan uji korelasi terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis dan capaian prestasi belajar kelas VIII C dan VIII D di SMP Tarakanita 2 Jakarta dengan 58 responden. Uji Alpha Cronbach pada instrumen tes media Youtube (0,83), Blog (0,82), Pemecahan Masalah (Pretest 0,92 dan Posttest 0,86), dan Prestasi (0,90) menunjukkan validitas dan reliabilitas yang tinggi. Berdasarkan uji hipotesis non-parametrik dengan metode Spearmen Test diketahui adanya korelasi antara pemanfaatan media Youtube dengan Pemecahan Masalah (R-hitung 0,37), Youtube dengan Prestasi (R- hitung 0,41), Blog dengan Pemecahan Masalah (R-hitung 0,42), dan Blog dengan Prestasi (R- hitung 0,39). Uji non-parametrik Mann Whitney pada kelas kontrol dan kelas eksperimen terkait prestasi dinyatakan identik dengan rata-rata dan variance yang sama sehingga tidak ada perbedaan kenaikan Ngain pada kedua kelas tersebut.
