Abstract

The aim of the research is to determine the improvement of self-regulation skills, entrepreneurial skills and mastery of the concepts of craft subjects in class VIIA at SMP XYZ Tangerang by applying the project based learning method. Data was obtained from observations, interviews, questionnaires, written tests and rubrics on 42 class VIIA students at XYZ Tangerang Middle School. This research is classroom action research which starts from planning, instrument design, observation, evaluation and reflection using the Kemmis and Taggart cycle method. The research approach uses qualitative descriptive analysis with the Miles and Huberman (1984) model to describe the cycle of planning, implementation, observation and reflection for each cycle. The research results showed that the average value of self-regulation skills in cycle I was 69.49 and experienced an increase in cycle II of 86.46. The average value of entrepreneurial skills in cycle I was 72.22 and experienced an increase in cycle II of 82.94. For mastery of craft concepts in the written test, the average score for cycle I was 73.41 and there was an increase in cycle II of 82.30. The results of the research show that the application of the project based learning method can improve students' self-regulation skills, entrepreneurial skills and mastery of concepts as indicated by the achievement of competency in applying self-regulation skills, entrepreneurial skills and mastery of concepts as indicated by the results of students' craft products. / Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk mengetahui peningkatan keterampilan regulasi diri, keterampilan kewirausahaan dan penguasaan konsep mata pelajaran prakarya kelas VIIA di SMP XYZ Tangerang dengan menerapkan metode pembelajaran project based learning. Data diperoleh dari hasil observasi, wawancara, angket, tes tertulis dan rubrik terhadap siswa kelas VIIA di SMP XYZ Tangerang yang berjumlah 42 orang. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas yang dimulai dari perencanaan, perancangan instrumen, observasi, evaluasi serta refleksi menggunakan metode siklus Kemmis dan Taggart. Pendekatan penelitian menggunakan deskriptif kualitatif dengan model analisis Miles and Huberman (1984) untuk menggambarkan siklus dari perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi, dan refleksi setiap siklus. Hasil penelitian didapatkan nilai rata-rata keterampilan regulasi diri pada siklus I sebesar 69,49 dan mengalami peningkatan pada siklsus II sebesar 86,46. Untuk nilai rata-rata keterampilan kewirausahaan pada siklus I sebesar 72,22 dan mengalami peningkatan pada siklus II sebesar 82,94. Untuk penguasaan konsep prakarya pada tes tertulis didapatkan nilai rata-rata siklus I sebesar 73,41 dan mengalami peningkatan pada siklus II sebesar 82,30. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan metode project based learning dapat meningkatkan keterampilan regulasi diri, keterampilan kewirausahaan dan penguasaan konsep siswa yang ditunjukkan dengan ketercapaian kompetensi dalam menerapkan keterampilan regulasi diri,keterampilan kewirausahaan dan penguasaan konsep yang ditandai dengan hasil produk kerajinan siswa.
