Abstract

Community is contributing to the growth and development of individuals within the community. Likewise, individuals are factors that influence the growth and development of the community. A shalom community is one in which every individual strives to help, love and seek shalom. This is a solid reason to give strength to the teachers in the community is to have a good work ethic to achieve the vision and mission of the school. This qualitative study analyzes the Shalom community in SMA Lentera Harapan Tomohon. Collected data through observation, documentation, and interviews. The interviewees consisted of 6 people, including the Principal. Process realizing shalom experiences technical obstacles that arise from the side of leaders, teachers, and the surrounding environment. However, the results are that SMA Lentera Harapan is a Shalom community striving to realize Shalom. The teacher's work ethic has fundamentally grown through this shalom community itself. / Komunitas adalah faktor yang memberikan kontribusi terhadap pertumbuhan dan perkembangan individu di dalam komunitas. Demikian juga individu merupakan faktor yang memengaruhi pertumbuhan dan perkembangan komunitas. Shalom community adalah komunitas yang setiap individu di dalamnya berusaha untuk saling menolong, mengasihi dan mengusahakan shalom. Hal ini menjadi alasan yang kokoh untuk memberikan kekuatan kepada guru-guru di dalam komunitas untuk memiliki etos kerja yang baik untuk mencapai visi dan misi sekolah. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif untuk menganalisis shalom community dan etos kerja guru di SMA Lentera Harapan Tomohon. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi, dokumentasi, dan wawancara. Adapun yang menjadi narasumber wawancara terdiri dari 6 orang termasuk Kepala Sekolah. Proses perwujudan shalom mengalami kendala yang secara teknis muncul dari sisi pemimpin, guru-guru, dan lingkungan sekitar. Namun, hasil yang diperoleh adalah SMA Lentera Harapan adalah komunitas yang shalom dan berjuang untuk mewujudkan shalom. Etos kerja guru secara fundamental mengalami pertumbuhan melalui adanya shalom community itu sendiri
