Abstract

Ekonomi kreatif merupakan salah satu kekuatan ekonomi baru yang sedang berkembang diabad ke-21 ini. Kreativitas dan ketrampilan seseorang sangat penting untuk kemajuan ekonomi kreatif suatu negara. Indonesia dan Kerajaan Inggris Raya sadar akan pentingnya ekonomi kreatif untuk membantu masyarakat, meningkatkan kualitas hidup masyarakat dan juga untuk kemajuan ekonomi negara masingmasing. Oleh karena itu, Indonesia dan Kerajaan Inggris Raya menandatangani nota kesepahaman di bidang industri-industri kreatif. Penandatanganan ini merupakan upaya kedua pemerintah untuk memperkuat hubungan diplomatik dan juga untuk semua orang yang bekerja dalam bidang industri-industri kreatif. Tujuan daripada skripsi ini adalah untuk menganalisa proses penandatanganan nota kesepahaman begitu juga dengan keuntungan bagi industriindustri kreatif Indonesia. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode kualitatif dan data didapatkan melalui internet, buku-buku dan juga publikasi pemerintah. Analisis data dilakukan dengan pendekatan explanatory research. Penelitian ini menunjukkan proses penandatanganan nota kesepahaman oleh Indonesia dan Kerajaan Inggris Raya kerjasama di bidang industri-industri kreatif telah berlangsung beberapa tahun sebelum akhirnya nota kesepahaman ini ditanda tangani di London. Penelitian ini juga menjelaskan posisi strategis dan juga keuntungan yang didapatkan Indonesia dalam penandatanganan nota kesepahaman ini. / The creative economy is one of the emerging new economic forces in 21st century. One's creativity and skill are crucial to a country's creative economy. Indonesia and the United Kingdom realize that creative economy is important to support their citizens, increase the quality of life of the citizens, and for the economic development in each country. Therefore, Indonesia and the United Kingdom signed a Memorandum of Understanding in the field of creative industries. The signing is an effort of both governments to strengthen their diplomatic relations and for all the people who work in creative industries. The purpose of this thesis is to analyze the process of signing the MoU and the benefits for Indonesia’s creative industries. The research method that is used in this thesis is qualitative research and data is collected through internet, books, and also government publications. Data analysis was done by explanatory research approach. This research shows that the process on signing the MoU by Indonesia and the United Kingdom cooperation in the field of creative industries has happened several years before the MoU signed in London. This research also explains the advantaged position of Indonesia in this MoU as well as the benefits that Indonesia gain from the signing of this Memorandum of Understanding.
