Abstract

Latar Belakang : Hipertensi sering kali dikenal dengan “The Silent Killer” karena penderita tidak mengetahui apabila dirinya terdiagnosis hipertensi atau tekanan darah tinggi. Beberapa penelitian menunjukkan adanya populasi masyarakat di Indonesia dengan hipertensi tidak terkontrol sebagai outcome dari rendahnya pengetahuan akan hipertensi. Membatasi asupan garam atau menerapkan diet rendah garam dapat menjadi salah satu cara untuk mengontrol hipertensi. Telah dilaporkan mengenai hubungan pengetahuan hipertensi dengan pola diet rendah garam yang dilakukan di Puskesmas. Namun belum banyak diteliti pada fasilitas kesehatan lebih tinggi, yaitu di Rumah Sakit Umum Siloam Gedung B. Tujuan Penelitian : Mengetahui hubungan pengetahuan hipertensi terhadap pola diet rendah garam pada penderita hipertensi di Rumah Sakit Umum Siloam Gedung B. Hipotesis : Terdapat hubungan pengetahuan hipertensi yang diukur menggunakan kuesioner HK-LS terhadap pola diet rendah garam yang diukur dengan kuesioner DSR-SCB pada penderita hipertensi di Rumah Sakit Umum Siloam Gedung B. Metode Penelitian : Penelitian ini menggunakan studi potong lintang atau corss- sectional dengan studi analitik komparatif tidak berpasangan. Sampel penelitian adalah penderita hipertensi di Rumah Sakit Umum Siloam Gedung B. Kuesioner yang digunakan adalah Hypertension Knowledge-Level Scale (HK-LS) untuk menilai pengetahuan hipertensi dan Dietary Salt Reduction Self-Care Behavior Scale (DSR-SCB) untuk menilai pola diet rendah garam. Pengumpulan data akan ditabulasi dengan Microsoft Excel dan SPSS 26.0, kemudian hubungan antara kedua variable tersebut akan dianalisa dengan uji statistik metode Chi-square. Hasil : Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, didapatkan nilai p = 0,000 dimana lebih kecil dari level signifikansi yang digunakan (p = 0,05) Kesimpulan : Terdapat hubungan antara pengetahuan hipertensi terhadap pola diet rendah garam pada penderita hipertensi di Rumah Sakit Umum Siloam Gedung B. Kata Kunci : hipertensi, pengetahuan hipertensi, diet rendah garam. / Background : Hypertension is often known as "The Silent Killer" because sufferers do not know when they are diagnosed with hypertension or high blood pressure. Several studies have shown that there is a population in Indonesia with uncontrolled hypertension as an outcome of low knowledge of hypertension. Limiting salt intake or implementing a low-salt diet can be one way to control hypertension. It has been reported about the relationship between knowledge of hypertension and a low-salt diet carried out at the Puskesmas. However, there has not been much research on higher health facilities, especially at Rumah Sakit Umum Siloam Building B. Objectives : To know the relationship between knowledge of hypertension and low- salt diet patterns in hypertensive patients at Rumah Sakit Umum Siloam Building B. Hypothesis : There is a relationship between knowledge of hypertension as measured using the HK-LS questionnaire and low salt diet patterns as measured by the DSR-SCB questionnaire in hypertension patients at Rumah Sakit Umum Siloam Building B. Methods : This study used a cross-sectional study with unpaired comparative analytic studies. The research sample was hypertension sufferers at Rumah Sakit Umum Siloam Building B. The questionnaire used was the Hypertension Knowledge-Level Scale (HK-LS) to assess hypertension knowledge and the Dietary Salt Reduction Self-Care Behavior Scale (DSR-SCB) to assess low-salt dietary patterns. Data collection will be tabulated with Microsoft Excel and SPSS 26.0, then the relationship between the two variables will be analyzed using the Chi- square method statistical test. Results : Based on the research resultsa value of p = 0,000 was obtained, which is smaller than the significance level used (p=0,05). Conclusion : There is relationship between knowledge of hypertension and low salt diet patterns in hypertension patients at Rumah Sakit Umum Siloam Building B.
