Abstract

Masyarakat Indonesia yang merupakan pengguna aktif internet, memainkan peranan besar bagi perusahaan untuk memanfaatkan platform internet, khususnya dengan berjalannya waktu, munculah electronic commerce (e-commerce), perusahaan berbasis internet yang mulai merebah di seluruh dunia, khususnya Indonesia. Blibli.com adalah salah satu perusahaan elektronik commerce terbesar yang ada di Indoneisa, yang menjual berbagai kategori produk yang dibutuhkan oleh seluruh kalangan masyarakat Indonesia, mulai dari menengah ke bawah sampai masyarakat menengah ke atas. Pemagang bekerja di Blibli.com selama empat bulan sebagai Public Relations Intern yang berfokus pada ruang lingkup kerja Media Relations Blibli.com. Media Relations menjadi bagian yang sangat penting di dalam Blibli.com karena Media Relations menjembatani Blibli.com dengan para media dan publik, dan juga berperan dan berfungsi sebagai seorang Public Relations. Seorang Media Relations di Blibli.com memiliki posisi dengan satu kaki di dalam Blibli.com, dan satu kaki di luar Blibli.com Setelah menyelesaikan program magang selama empat bulan di Blibli.com, pemagang dapat menyimpulkan dan mengerti mengenai fungsi dan peran Public Relations dalam aktivitas Media Relations di Blibli.com. / The netizens of Indonesia are the most active internet users plays such a huge role for company to use the internet as a platform, and as the time goes by, the existence of electronic commerce (e-commerce), an internet-based company which spread all around the world, especially Indonesia. Blibli.com as one of the biggest electronic commerce in Indonesia which sells various product categories that all social status netizens may need, started from the lower-middle class, until the upper-middle class. The intern worked at Blibli.com for four months as Public Relations Intern who’s focus is on media relations Blibli.com’s scope of work. Media Relations has become such an important part of Blibli.com since Media Relations become the bridge of Blibli.com, to the press and publics as well as performing the role and functions of Public Relations. Media Relations of Blibli.com has one foot inside of Blibli.com, and one outside. After finishing the internship programs at Blibli.com, the intern may conclude and understand the role and functions of Public Relations through Media Relations activity in Blibli.com.
