Abstract

Keberadaan Central Business District (CBD) meningkatkan pergerakan penduduk di sekitar Jakarta menuju Jakarta dan sebaliknya. Pergerakan ini menimbulkan kebutuhan akan transportasi umum untuk memfasilitasi pergerakan tersebut. Lost space merupakan ruang tidak dapat didefinisikan penggunanya, kepemilikan, pengurus, dan fungsinya. Infrastruktur jalur transportasi umum pada kota yang telah terbentuk menyebabkan terbentuknya lost space. Potensi kemunculan lost space meningkat ketika ada pertemuan dari beberapa infrastruktur transportasi umum. Hal ini dapat terlihat pada area TOD yang memiliki infrastruktur transportasi umum berbasis rel. Keberadaan lost space berdampak pada kualitas ruang di area TOD. Dengan demikin penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi dan mengaktivasi lost space yang ada di area TOD Dukuh Atas. Lost space cenderung memiliki kualitas non place space sehingga dibutuhkan peningkatan kualitas tempat melalui pendekatan sense of place. Elemen pembentuk sense of place adalah permeabilitas, legibilitas, variasi fungsi dan aktivitas. Penelitian ini menggunakan analisis space syntax dan observasi lapangan untuk mengidentifikasi lost space pada area TOD Dukuh Atas. Penelitian ini juga melakukan studi literatur untuk menemukan cara meningkatkan kualitas ruang lost space. Lalu dilakukan proses rekayasa permeabilitas untuk menemukan peluang aktivasi yang dapat dilakukan dengan meningkatkan sense of place. Dilakukan analisis space syntax pada desain aktivasi area TOD Dukuh Atas untuk memvalidasi rekayasa permeabilitas yang dilakukan. Hasil validasi menemukan bahwa rekayasa yang telah dilakukan pada lost space memiliki nilai permeabilitas dan visibilitas tinggi, sehingga cenderung dilalui oleh pejalan kaki. / The existence of the Central Business District (CBD) increases the movement of residents around Jakarta to Jakarta. This movement created a need for public transportation to facilitate it. Lost space is a space whose user, ownership, management, and function cannot be defined. The public transportation infrastructure in the existing city causes the formation of lost space. Lost space potential increases when there is a meeting of several public transportation infrastructures. This can be seen in the TOD area, which has rail-based public transportation infrastructure. Lost space impacts the quality of space in the TOD area. Therefore, this research aims to identify and activate lost spaces in the Dukuh Atas TOD area. Lost space tends to have the quality of non-place space, so it is necessary to improve the quality of place through a sense of place approach. The elements that form a sense of place are permeability, legibility, variety of functions and activities. This research uses space syntax analysis and field observations to identify lost space in the Dukuh Atas TOD area. This research is supported by a literature study to find ways to improve the quality of lost space. Then, permeability manipulation is carried out to find activation opportunities that can be achieved by increasing the sense of place. Space syntax analysis was carried out on the activation design of the Dukuh Atas TOD area to validate the permeability manipulation. The validation results found that the permeability manipulation on the lost spaces achieves high permeability and visibility, making it more likely to be passed by pedestrians.
