Abstract

Bangunan Joglo, sebagai representasi arsitektur tradisional Jawa, merupakan warisan budaya penting di Indonesia. Struktur Joglo menghadapi tantangan dalam mempertahankan keasliannya. Aspek tersebut dapat terjadi karena kurangnya kepedulian orang terhadap pemeliharaan arsitektur tradisional. Hal ini berpengaruh terhadap kondisi fisik dan kelestarian bangunan Joglo, yang sering kali mengalami kerusakan atau kehilangan komponen. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan upaya untuk menjaga dan memperbaharui bangunan ini agar tetap relevan dan terawat. Penelitian ini ditujukan untuk mengeksplorasi penerapan teknologi Rapid Prototyping dalam memperbaiki dan memperbaharui elemen-elemen yang rusak pada bangunan Joglo, menciptakan kesinambungan antara warisan budaya dan teknologi modern. Dengan studi kasus pada Joglo Siraman, penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif. Proses penelitian melibatkan beberapa tahap, yaitu pemetaan komponen yang rusak atau hilang, desain ulang komponen menggunakan perangkat lunak CAD, dan pembuatan model 3D menggunakan teknologi Rapid Prototyping. Selain itu, penelitian ini juga mengkaji penggunaan material daur ulang, khususnya limbah plastik, untuk menggantikan komponen bangunan yang hilang atau rusak. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa teknologi Rapid Prototyping efektif dalam menciptakan model 3D yang presisi dan akurat untuk komponen Joglo. Penggunaan material daur ulang, terutama limbah plastik, mampu memberikan solusi ramah lingkungan dan berkelanjutan dalam proses restorasi. Komponen seperti genteng, lantai, dan sambungan bangunan dapat diperbarui dengan material daur ulang, sehingga tidak hanya mempertahankan keaslian arsitektur tradisional tetapi juga menambahkan nilai estetika yang unik. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa penerapan teknologi Rapid Prototyping dan penggunaan material daur ulang dapat mempertahankan keaslian arsitektur tradisional Jawa, memberikan solusi ramah lingkungan, dan menciptakan elemen arsitektur dengan presisi tinggi. Selain itu, integrasi teknologi modern dalam restorasi Joglo memperkuat identitas budaya lokal dan mencerminkan komitmen terhadap praktik pembangunan yang berkelanjutan dan inovatif. Dengan demikian, restorasi Joglo Siraman ini diharapkan menjadi contoh penerapan prinsip keberlanjutan dan inovasi dalam arsitektur tradisional, sekaligus memperkuat identitas budaya lokal. / The Joglo building, as a representation of traditional Javanese architecture, is an important cultural heritage in Indonesia. However, the Joglo structure faces challenges in maintaining its authenticity as time goes by. This aspect can occur due to people's lack of concern for traditional architecture. This affects the physical condition and sustainability of Joglo buildings, which often experience damage or loss of components. Therefore, efforts are needed to maintain and renew this building so that it remains relevant and well maintained. This research is aimed at exploring the application of Rapid Prototyping Technology in repairing and renewing damaged elements in the Joglo building, creating continuity between cultural heritage and modern technology. With a case study on Joglo Siraman, this research uses a qualitative approach. The research process involves several stages, namely mapping damaged or missing components, redesigning components using CAD software, and creating 3D models using Rapid Prototyping technology. Apart from that, this research also examines the use of recycled materials, especially plastic waste, to replace lost or damaged building components. The research results show that Rapid Prototyping technology is effective in creating precise and accurate 3D models for Joglo components. The use of recycled materials, especially plastic waste, has been proven to provide an environmentally friendly and sustainable solution in the restoration process. Components such as roof tiles, floors and building joints were successfully updated with recycled materials, which not only maintains the authenticity of the traditional architecture but also adds unique aesthetic value. This research concludes that the application of Rapid Prototyping technology and the use of recycled materials can maintain the authenticity of traditional Javanese architecture, provide environmentally friendly solutions, and create architectural elements with high precision. Additionally, the integration of modern technology in the Joglo restoration strengthens local cultural identity and reflects a commitment to sustainable and innovative building practices. Thus, it is hoped that the restoration of Joglo Siraman will be an example of applying the principles of sustainability and innovation in traditional architecture, while strengthening local cultural identity.
