Abstract

Elemen dalam suatu ruang harus memiliki fungsi yang tepat, sehingga dapat memenuhi kebutuhan suatu ruang. Elemen interior salah satunya indoor plant adalah pilihan yang sering diterapkan dalam suatu ruang dengan melandasi fungsi serta teknik penerapan. Tanaman memiliki peran penting bagi kehidupan manusia. Tanaman hias adalah suatu kelompok tanaman yang memiliki fungsi utama sebagai penghias, namun memiliki manfaat tersendiri bagi suatu ruang. Dalam menempatkan indoor plant ke dalam suatu ruang harus dipelajari melalui ensiklopedia yang mengajarkan cara merawat, teknik peletakkan, dan pemanfaatan tanaman bagi ruang dan pengguna. Tanaman indoor memiliki karakter dan kebutuhan yang berbeda – beda sesuai dengan jenis yang dipilih, serta dengan ukuran tanaman yang bervariatif. Di Indonesia sendiri memiliki iklim tropis yang dimana sangat baik untuk kehidupan tanaman. Selain iklim tropis merupakan hal yang baik bagi tanaman, teknik menanam juga penting untuk kehidupan tanaman itu sendiri, karena tanaman indoor plant memerlukan faktor – faktor pendukung kehidupannya dengan melakukan beberapa teknik menanam. Faktor yang dibutuhkan indoor plant diterapkan melalui teknik dalam penanaman itu sendiri, seperti salah satu contohnya peletakkan penanaman di dekat jendela. Faktor tersebut biasanya menyesuaikan karakter pada tanaman seperti mencangkup pada kebutuhan cahaya, pengairan, media tanam, suhu, dll. Melalui studi kasus yang ditarik menjadi sebuah panduan dalam penerapan tanaman di dalam ruangan, serta penerapan teknik yang mendukung faktor pertumbuhan tanaman di dalam ruangan itu sendiri. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah melihat tanaman pada ruang interior, tanaman tersebut dapat hidup karena teknik menanam yang baik dan benar sehingga semua faktor yang dibutuhkan dapat terpenuhi. Hasil akhir dalam bentuk proposal untuk usulan perancangan interior menitikberatkan pada pendekatan teknik serta faktor kebutuhan terhadap perawatan bagi indoor plant. Serta didalam penelitian ini mencangkup penjelasan dan kelebihan maupun kekurangan dari penerapan teknik – teknik yang mendukung pertumbuhan tanaman di dalam desain interior. Dalam penerapan teknik ke dalam desain interior harus memerlukan sebuah pertimbangan yang memberikan kesatuan satu sama lain./ Elements in a space must have the right function so that they can meet the needs of a space. Interior elements, one of which is indoor plants, are a choice that is often applied in a space based on function and application technique. Plants have an important role in human life. Ornamental plants are a group of plants that have the main function of decorating, but have their own benefits for a space. Placing indoor plants in a space must be studied through an encyclopedia that teaches how to care for them, placement techniques and the use of plants for the space and users. Indoor plants have different characteristics and needs according to the type chosen, as well as varying plant sizes. Indonesia itself has a tropical climate which is very good for plant life. Apart from the tropical climate being good for plants, planting techniques are also important for the life of the plants themselves, because indoor plants require factors that support their life by using several planting techniques. The factors needed for indoor plants are applied through the planting techniques themselves, such as placing plants near windows. These factors usually adjust the characteristics of the plant, such as covering the need for light, watering, planting media, temperature, etc. Through the case studies drawn, it becomes a guide in the application of techniques that support plant growth factors in the room itself. The aim of this research is to look at plants in interior spaces, these plants can live because of good ans correct planting techniques so that all therequired factors can be met. The final result is in the form of a proposal for an interior design proposal that focuses on the technical approach and maintenance requirements for indoor plants. And this research includes an explanation and the advantages and disadvantages of applying techniques that support plant growth in interior design. In applying techniques to interior design, considerations must be taken that provide unity with each other.
