Abstract

Pendidikan merupakan proses pembelajaran di mana setiap anak memiliki hak untuk mendapatkannya. Sekolah merupakan institusi yang memberikan pendidikan untuk anak, tetapi sekolah juga memiliki beberapa penerapan pendidikan, seperti sekolah reguler, sekolah inklusi dan juga sekolah khusus. Dari hasil analisis, ditemukan jika adanya minim riset mengenai sekolah inklusi serta khusus di Indonesia. Fasilitas dalam sekolah inklusi atau khusus yang masih tergolong kurang juga membuat sistem pembelajaran untuk anak berkebutuhan khusus di beberapa tempat atau daerah belum maksimal. Oleh karena itu, perlu adanya keseimbangan pendidikan yang diberikan untuk setiap anak dengan berbagai latar belakang. Penulisan ini membahas mengenai bagaimana pendekatan sensori dalam ruang lingkup interior Sekolah Khusus Mutiara Hatiku dapat meningkatkan sistem pembelajaran anak berkebutuhan khusus. / Education is a learning process that is accessible to all children. Schools are institutions that provide education to students but they also have various educational approach, such as ordinary schools, inclusive schools, and special schools. However, the analysis showed a lack of research on inclusive and special schools in Indonesia. This has shown that the facilities in inclusive or special schools are still slightly insufficient, making the learning system for children with special needs in some places or regions inadequate. This paper discusses how the sensory approach in Mutiara Hatiku Special School can improve the learning system of children with special needs.
