Abstract

Sea World Ancol merupakan destinasi wisata edukasi serta merupakan area konservasi yang berisi atas berbagai macam biota laut yang ditempatkan di dalam beberapa akuarium tematik yang ada di dalamnya. Environmental Graphic Design berperan dalam memberi navigasi serta memberi informasi mengenai lokasi maupun objek yang ada di sana. Saat ini, di Sea World Ancol telah memiliki eksisting signage dalam EGD nya. Akan tetapi, eksisting signage ini dinilai belum sepenuhnya berfungsi secara efektif. Oleh karena itu, dibutuhkan sistem EGD yang baik untuk Sea World Ancol. Melalui proses perancangan dua tahap, pre desain dan desain, perancangan EGD Sea World Ancol dimulai dengan mengumpulkan data yang dibutuhkan kemudian dilanjutkan oleh tahap mendesain. Dengan demikian melalui proyek perancangan ini, bertujuan untuk menciptakan EGD Sea World Ancol yang koheren dengan identitas brand, sesuai dengan kondisi lingkungan sekitar, serta mampu mengkomunikasikan informasi dengan jelas kepada para pengunjung Sea World Ancol dan berperan sebagai sarana navigasi yang baik. / Sea World Ancol is an educational tourist destination and conservation area featuring a diverse range of marine life housed in several thematic aquariums. Environmental Graphic Design (EGD) plays a pivotal role in providing navigation and information regarding the location and objects within the facility. Currently, Sea World Ancol has existing signage as part of its EGD; however, these signs are deemed not fully effective. Therefore, there is a need for a robust EGD system for Sea World Ancol. Through a two-stage design process, namely pre-design and design, the EGD design for Sea World Ancol begins by collecting necessary data and then proceeds to the design phase. Thus, the objective of this design project is to create an EGD for Sea World Ancol that is coherent with the brand identity, aligns with the surrounding environment, communicates information clearly to Sea World Ancol visitors, and serves as an effective navigation tool.
