Abstract

Setiap perusahaan konsultan desain memiliki strategi masing-masing yang menjadi landasan dalam menjalankan operasional secara efektif untuk mencapai visi bersama sebagai satu tim. Strategi ini akan mendefinisikan setiap langkah yang perlu diambil oleh tim untuk dapat menghadapi setiap tantangan, serta mempertahankan dan terus mengembangkan perusahaan secara adaptif. Tim terdiri dari berbagai individu dengan sifat dan karakter berbeda. Oleh karena itu, tim dalam konsultan desain membutuhkan perencanaan strategi yang tepat dan standarisasi desain untuk memberikan satu acuan pandangan dan sikap bagi individu agar dapat memberikan kinerja yang optimal. Strategi kerja dan standar desain tersebut dapat diperoleh melalui bagaimana perusahaan merefleksikan kontribusi yang hendak diberikan terhadap lingkungan dan sosial yang menjadi tujuan bisnis mereka, dalam hal ini meliputi klien, mitra perusahaan, serta para pekerjanya sendiri. Melalui strategi dan standar desain tersebut, perusahaan akan dapat terus berkembang secara progresif dalam menghadapi setiap masalah yang akan mereka hadapi. Dengan begitu akhirnya individu dalam tim dapat digerakan oleh satu motivasi bersama yang saling bersinergi satu sama lain, baik di dalam tim itu sendiri maupun dengan klien dan mitra perusahaan. Penelitian ini membahas bagaimana AEDI Design Bureau mencapai standar desain optimal yang mereka miliki, melalui strategi kerja “The A Team”. Teknik analisis dilakukan dengan menggunakan studi kasus intrinsik. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan cara penulis berperan sebagai observer participant dan insider researcher, serta menggunakan teknik wawancara, selama penulis melakukan program magang di AEDI Design Bureau, dalam kurun waktu 2 Juni 2023 – 2 Mei 2024 (10 bulan). / Every design consulting firm has its strategy that serves as the foundation for running operations effectively to achieve a shared vision as a team. This strategy will define every step that needs to be taken by the team to be able to face every challenge, as well as maintain and continue to develop the company adaptively. The team consists of various individuals with different traits and characters. Therefore, a team in a design consultancy needs proper strategy planning and design standardization to provide a single reference view and attitude for individuals to provide optimal performance.The work strategy and design standards can be obtained through how the company reflects on the contribution it wants to make to the environmental and social goals of its business, in this case including clients, company partners, and its workers. Through these strategies and design standards, the company will be able to continue to develop progressively in the face of every problem it faces. Ultimately, individuals in the team can be driven by a common motivation that synergizes with each other, both within the team itself and with clients and partners. This research discusses how AEDI Design Bureau achieves its optimal design standard, through “The A Team” working strategy. The analysis technique was conducted using an intrinsic case study. Data collection was carried out by the author acting as an observer participant and insider researcher, as well as using interview techniques, during the author's internship program at AEDI Design Bureau, within the period of 2 June 2023 - 2 May 2024 (10 months).
