Abstract

Mikosis superfisialis, seperti penyakit panu (Pityriasis versicolor), merupakan infeksi jamur superfisial yang disebabkan oleh kolonisasi jamur Malassezia furfur. Penyakit ini ditandai dengan adanya bercak berwarna terang. Rimpang lengkuas merah dan lidah buaya memiliki sifat yang bisa membantu melawan infeksi jamur pada kulit. Penelitian ini memiliki tujuan untuk melihat kombinasi ekstrak etanol 96% lengkuas merah (Alpinia purpurata (Vieill.) K.Schum) dan lidah buaya (Aloe vera. (L.) Burm.f) yang dapat menghambat pertumbuhan jamur Malassezia furfur. Penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan penelitian eksperimental laboratorium. Lengkuas merah dan lidah buaya di ekstraksi menggunakan metode maserasi dengan pelarut etanol 96%. Hasil ekstrak yang diperoleh dilakukan skrining fitokimia. Ekstrak etanol lengkuas merah mengandung senyawa alkaloid, flavonoid, saponin, fenol, tanin, kuinon, dan steroid/triterpenoid. Ekstrak etanol daun lidah buaya memiliki senyawa flavonoid, saponin, fenol, dan tanin menunjukkan adanya aktivitas antijamur. Uji aktivitas antijamur menggunakan metode dilusi pada berbagai konsentrasi. Pada penelitian ini potensi Alpinia purpurata (Vieill.) K.Schum dan Aloe vera L. dalam menghambat pertumbuhan jamur Malassezia furfur akan diuji dengan metode makrodilusi pada berbagai konsentrasi. Ekstrak etanol 96% daun lidah buaya dapat menghambat pertumbuhan jamur Malassezia furfur dengan Konsentrasi Hambat Minimum 100.000 ppm dan Konsentrasi Bunuh Minumum 10 ppm didapatkan nilai sig. 0,124 (>0,05). Kombinasi ekstrak etanol 96% lengkuas merah (Alpinia purpurata (Vieill.) K.Schum) dan lidah buaya (Aloe vera (L.) Burm.f) lebih efektif dalam menghambat pertumbuhan jamur Malassezia furfur dibandingkan masing-masing ekstrak didapatkan nilai sig. 0,480 (>0,05) dengan perbandingan 2:1./ Superficial mycoses, such as tinea versicolor (Pityriasis versicolor), are superficial fungal infections caused by colonization of the fungus Malassezia furfur. This disease is characterized by the presence of light colored spots. Red galangal rhizomes and aloe vera have properties that can help fight fungal infections of the skin. This research aims to examine the combination of 96% ethanol extract of red galangal (Alpinia purpurata (Vieill.) K.Schum) and aloe vera (Aloe vera. (L.) Burm.f) which can inhibit the growth of the Malassezia furfur fungus. This research uses a laboratory experimental research design. Red galangal and aloe vera were extracted using the maceration method with 96% ethanol solvent. The extract results obtained were subjected to phytochemical screening. Red galangal ethanol extract contains alkaloids, flavonoids, saponins, phenols, tannins, quinones, and steroids/triterpenoids. The ethanol extract of aloe vera leaves contains flavonoids, saponins, phenols and tannins which show antifungal activity. Antifungal activity test using the dilution method at various concentrations. In this study, the potential of Alpinia purpurata (Vieill.) K.Schum and Aloe vera L. in inhibiting the growth of the Malassezia furfur fungus will be tested using the macrodilution method at various concentrations. 96% ethanol extract of aloe vera leaves can inhibit the growth of the Malassezia furfur fungus with a Minimum Inhibitory Concentration of 100,000 ppm and a Minimum Kill Concentration of 10 ppm, obtaining a sig value. 0.124 (>0.05). The combination of 96% ethanol extract of red galangal (Alpinia purpurata (Vieill.) K.Schum) and aloe vera (Aloe vera (L.) Burm.f) was more effective in inhibiting the growth of the Malassezia furfur fungus compared to each extract with a sig value. 0.480 (>0.05) with a ratio of 2:1.
