Abstract

Background: Decrease in blood pressure is one of the most common complication while undergoing hemodialysis. This decrease can be caused by several factors one of which is BMI. High in BMI plays an indirect role in the incidence of IDH though the inflammatory response of macrophage cells affecting IDWG. Therefore, this study was conducted to examine the effect of BMI on IDWG and the incidence of IDH in patients undergoing hemodialysis. The main purpose of this study was to determine whether there was any relationship between BMI against IDWG and IDH events. Method: This study uses numeric comparative analytical study not paired method with crosssectional study. The study population will come from hemodialysis patients at siloam Lippo Karawaci General Hospital. The samples studied amounted to at least 46. Statistical analysis will be statistical analysis of Mann Whitney U and Chi Square. Results: There were 46 patients (100%) in which 17 (36.96%) are women and 29 are men (63.04%). Of the 17 women 13 (76.47%) people had BMI <18.5 and 4 (23.53%) people had BMI 18.5-24.9. Of the 29 male patients 8 (27.59%) people had BMI <18.5 and 21 (72.41%) people had BMI 18.5-24.9. From Mann Whitney U test results BMI's influence on IDWG has p-value = 0.408. from Chi Square test results BMI's influence on IDWG has p-value 0.944 with odd ratio = 1.286. Chi Square test result for IDWG influence to IDH has p = value 0.566 Conclusion: It was found that there was no relationship between BMI to IDWG and IDWG to IDH but there was a significant relationship between BMI with IDH and sex difference with IDH in Lippo Karawaci siloam RSU patient / Latar Belakang: Penurunan tekanan darah merupakan salah satu komplikasi saat menjalani hemodialisis. Penurunan ini dapat disebabkan oleh beberapa faktor salah satunya BMI. Tingginya BMI berperan secara tidak langsung terhadap tingkat kejadian IDH melalui respon inflamasi dari sel-sel makrofag yang mempengaruhi IDWG. Oleh sebab itu, penelitian ini dilaksanakan untuk melihat bagaimana pengaruh BMI terhadap IDWG dan tingkat kejadian IDH pada pasien yang menjalani hemodialisis. Tujuan utama dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menentukan ada tidaknya hubungan antar BMI terhadap IDWG dan kejadian IDH. Metode Penelitian: Penelitian ini menggunakan metode studi analitik komparatif numerik tidak berpasangan dengan desain cross-sectional. Populasi penelitian berasal dari pasien hemodialisis Rumah Sakit Umum Siloam Lippo Karawaci. Sampel yang diteliti berjumlah 46. Analisis statistik yang analisis statistik metode Mann Whitney U dan Chi Square. Hasil Penelitian: Terdapat 46 pasien (100%) di mana 17 (36.96%) wanita dan laki-laki 29 (63.04%). Dari 17 wanita tersebut 13 (76.47%) orang mempunyai BMI <18.5 dan 4 (23.53%) orang mempunyai BMI 18.5-24.9. Dari 29 pasien laki-laki 8 (27.59%) orang mempunyai BMI <18.5 dan 21 (72.41%) orang mempunyai BMI 18.5-24.9. Dari hasil uji Mann Whitney U pengaruh BMI terhadap IDWG mempunyai p-value=0.408. dari hasil uji Chi Square pengaruh BMI terhadap IDWG mempunyai p-value 0.944 dengan odd ratio=1.286. Hasil uji Chi Square untuk pengaruh IDWG terhadap IDH mempunyai p=value 0.566. Kesimpulan: It was found that there was no correlation between BMI and IDWG and IDWG on the incidence of IDH in patients at Siloam General Hospital Lippo Karawaci.
