Abstract
Nowadays Alex Yani’s shoes store is still using manual system in managing its business activities. In this era, information technology is very useful to assist the operational activities of a business. This final project proposed to improve a system that used information technology that can utilize the operational activity of this store. The limitations of this final project are the system does not include operational costs, such as employees’ payroll, and it is not accept request order for the unavailable items. The system is developed by using prototyping method, and this system analysis has been done by an observation, interview towards the owner and the employee, and document analysist. The result of the analysis was modeled using UML 2.0 and the system is created by using PHP script, MySQL database, tested by using black box testing. Web-based sales system at Alex Yani store has been build in order to support the operational activities on Alex Yani’s Store. The system may record the data of purchase transaction, sales, customers, employee, suppliers, and provide the report. Furthermore, the customers are able to shopping via online with the system that has been made.
