Abstract

This thesis proposes a solution for business-to-consumer e-commerce platform aimed at Koreans residing in Indonesia, enhancing an existing community-based sales process. This study investigates the current pain points experienced by users by examining e-commerce digital behavior and sales processes of the existing system. Employing a qualitative approach, the research involves conducted interviews and surveys of both buyer and seller users. The data collected were analyzed through various studies and primary research methodologies to understand the current process and sales system as well as development of the proposed system by implementing a rapid application development method to enable faster development in a short time frame. The findings reveal that users are more inclined to switch to a sales-oriented platform, despite the old platform’s decade-long existence, due to improvements in security, information architecture, UI/UX and navigation accessibility, and analytics systems. Users showed a preference for the new system as it provides a more user-friendly display of information, digitalized order tracking, and efficient order management. This study contributes to the field of Information Systems by demonstrating that digitalization is highly valued when it enhances day-to-day operations by providing greater value and efficiency. / Tesis ini mengusulkan solusi untuk platform e-commerce bisnis-ke-konsumen yang ditujukan untuk orang korea yang tinggal di Indonesia, dengan meningkatkan proses penjualan berbasis komunitas yang ada di saat ini.
