Abstract
Pembelajaran adalah interaksi yang terjadi antar guru dan siswa. Pembelajaran dipengaruhi oleh berbagai latar belakang siswa meliputi masyarakat, sekolah maupun kelas. Berdasarkan konteks kelas, siswa terdiri dari rentang usía 12 – 14 tahun yang berada pada tahap perkembangan kognitif operasional formal dengan gaya belajar yang beragam dan masih kurang bisa bekerja sama antar teman dalam satu kelas. Dalam konteks ini, siswa belajar mengenai mata pelajaran IPA dalam unit Biologi dengan topik sistem peredaran darah. Topik ini membawa siswa untuk memahami keteraturan Allah dalam ciptaan-Nya. Strategi pembelajaran yang digunakan dalam pembelajaran ini adalah model pembelajaran inkuiri Kath Murdoch. Hasil penilaian menunjukkan bahwa 45 % siswa lulus pada unit ini. Model pembelajaran inkuiri mampu membantu siswa untuk meningkatkan kemampuan kognitif, keaktifan serta kemampuan kolaborasi melalui penerapan model pembelajaran yang dilakukan secara berkelompok. Kekuatan kelas pada pembelajaran ini terletak dalam mencapai tujuan pembelajaran tentang gangguan dan penyakit pada sistem peredaran darah dengan persentase ketercapaian 100%. Berdasarkan asesment yang diberikan maka kelemahannya adalah mencapai tujuan pembelajaran tentang menjelaskan struktur dan fungsi organ sistem peredaran darah dengan tingkat ketercapaian 40 %. Penulis menyadari masih banyak yang harus ditingkatkan terutama dalam memahami preknowledge siswa sebelum menerapkan model pembelajaran serta memberikan konsep yang dapat dibuktikan oleh siswa./ Learning is the interaction that occurs between teachers and students. Learning is influenced by various backgrounds of students including society, school and class. Based on the classroom context, students range from 12 to 14 years old who are in the formal operational cognitive development stage with diverse learning styles and are still less able to work together with peers in one class. In this context, students learn about science subjects in the Biology unit with the topic of circulatory system. This topic leads students to understand God's order in His creation. The learning strategy used in this learning is Kath Murdoch's inquiry learning model. The assessment results show that 45% of students pass on this unit. The inquiry learning model is able to help students to improve cognitive abilities, activeness and collaboration skills through the application of learning models carried out in groups. The strength of the class in this learning lies in achieving learning objectives about disorders and diseases of the circulatory system with a percentage of 100% achievement. Based on the assessment provided, the weakness is to achieve learning objectives about explaining the structure and function of circulatory system organs with an achievement rate of 40%. The author realizes that there is 2 still much to improve, especially in understanding students' preknowledge before applying learning models and providing concepts that can be proven by students.
