Abstract

This quantitative research study explores the effect of mixed curriculum management and organizational code-switching on the performance of SPK schools. This study employed a purposive sampling approach; data was gathered from leaders of SPK schools in Greater Jakarta. A structured survey instrument obtained responses from 455 school leaders representing 119 SPK schools. Analysis was conducted using Partial Least Square Structural Equation Modelling (PLS-SEM) via SPSS 26 and AMOS 24 software. The findings underline significant positive effects among mixed curriculum management variables, including Curriculum Acquisition, Curriculum Integration, and Curriculum Application. Additionally, the study reveals that Organizational Code-Switching significantly impacts School Performance and acts as a mediator for the effect of mixed curriculum management on School Performance. While Curriculum Integration and Curriculum Application management significantly affect school performance, the direct effect of Curriculum Acquisition on school performance did not yield significant results. Thus, involving code-switching organizations as mediators is crucial for enhancing school performance, as school leaders perceive. Then, the research model was tested through a robustness test via focus group discussion and control variable test, the results of which were aligned with the data analysis findings. These findings offer a fresh perspective on organizational code-switching constructs, bridging the gap in understanding the impact of curriculum management on school performance. Based on the findings, it is suggested that SPK schools enhance their curriculum management and adapt their structural dynamics to the evolving environment. This adaptation should prioritize sustaining or improving performance while also adhering to socio-cultural values and government regulations / Disertasi ini menggunakan desain penelitian kuantitatif untuk menggali pengaruh manajemen kurikulum campuran dan code-switching level organisasi terhadap kinerja sekolah SPK.
