Abstract

The presence of the creative economy in Indonesia is a form of optimism shown by the Government of Indonesia to make Indonesia as one of the highest income countries in 2030. The 21st century is considered to be the right moment. The government believes that the idea is capable of bringing fresh air to the welfare of Indonesian. These ideals created various new cooperative relationships between Indonesia and other countries including international institutions. For this reason, this research discusses the opportunities and challenges of the world creative economy for Indonesia. This research used qualitative approach. And the concepts applied, the creative economy, globalization, and international political economy. The results of the study show that Indonesia's opportunities and challenges in the global creative economy come from both external and internal factors. Where in realizing its great ideals Indonesia must begin this mission by applying a "bottom-up" approach. Although the concept of the global creative economy has the same source and meaning, in practice, various factors have influenced the development of this concept in various countries differently. Therefore, it will be good if Indonesia can recognize the opportunities and challenges it has as a first step towards achieving the desired goals. Kehadiran ekonomi kreatif di Indonesia merupakan bentuk optimisme yang ditunjukkan oleh Pemerintah Indonesia untuk menjadikan Indonesia sebagai salah satu negara berpenghasilan tertinggi pada tahun 2030. Abad ke-21 dianggap sebagai momen yang tepat. Pemerintah meyakini bahwa gagasan tersebut mampu membawa angin segar bagi kesejahteraan rakyat Indonesia. Cita-cita ini menciptakan berbagai hubungan kerja sama baru antara Indonesia dan negara-negara lain termasuk lembaga internasional. Untuk alasan ini, penelitian ini membahas peluang dan tantangan ekonomi kreatif dunia untuk Indonesia. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif. Dan konsep yang diterapkan, ekonomi kreatif, globalisasi, dan ekonomi politik internasional. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa peluang dan tantangan Indonesia dalam ekonomi kreatif global berasal dari faktor eksternal dan internal. Di mana dalam mewujudkan cita-cita besarnya, Indonesia harus memulai misi ini dengan menerapkan pendekatan "bottom-up". Meskipun konsep ekonomi kreatif global memiliki sumber dan makna yang sama, dalam praktiknya, berbagai faktor telah mempengaruhi perkembangan konsep ini di berbagai negara secara berbeda. Oleh karena itu, akan baik jika Indonesia dapat mengenali peluang dan tantangan yang dimilikinya sebagai langkah pertama untuk mencapai tujuan yang diinginkan.
